Worth the money!
This is my 2nd Tanita. My 1st one finally bit the dust after 15 or so years. Loved it! I saw no reason to get another brand.

My favorite scale
This is my second Tanita scale. The first one lasted for at least fifteen years, so there was no question what to order as a replacement. Easy to use, easy to read, and it’s nice that you can get both weight and body fat percentage. Recommend.

Fantastic product! Daily use for15 years! Incredibly accurate!
Fantastic product! I bought mine 15 years ago. It still works flawlessly despite daily use. I've changed the batteries 2 or 3 times. Incredibly accurate. Put on an additional piece of clothing, you'll see the tenths increase!

Good Scales
I like how they have physical buttons to tap with your toe instead of where you have to press down on one of the corners of the scales.

Nice product, but it uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)
Although BIA radiation is FDA approved, it does use ionizing radiation, which is what dental X-rays use (ionizing radiation) which can at any moment destroy an electron in just one atom and cause cancer. They mention using this product is is "a safe, low electrical signal (100-500 Micro Amp) is passed through the body..." I would like the company to explain to us how much less is this to an lower level dental X-ray? It scares me since ionizing radiation, no matter where it comes from, is cumulative If you are stepping on it everyday or even once a week this radiation is cumulative every time it is used, and so we must look over a period of ten or twenty years? Cray question, but it needs to be further explained I believe.

It took two ...
I ordered this and it was delivered promptly, the package was in pristine condition outside and also within. I removed the scales, placed the batteries in and followed all the set up instructions. It worked ... to a point. It gave me a weight, but would not display the bodyfat percentage, would only read '0000' and after about a minute standing there, 'error'. I contacted the manufacturer, with just a 'you're doing everything right' response. I began the return process with Amazon - it's flawless. I received the replacement today, and it works as it's supposed to. If you have a problem with this, follow up with Amazon. It was worth it!

Great if you want to guess at your weight (and, YES, I know how to properly use a scale!)
I've had this scale for a couple of years now. I should have returned it but never did. I bought it because I thought, from the glowing reviews, it would be far better than my mechanical scale but it has been a total joke instead. Not sure if I got a defective one or what but this scale is ridiculous. If I step on the scale 4 times consecutively, it gives me 4 totally different weights and 4 completely different body fat and water percentages. In those 4 readings my weight typically fluctuates with about a 7 lb. difference! Also, it takes FOREVER to get a reading. I have to stand completely motionless for about 15 seconds while it thinks about what number it wants to land on. Since my mechanical scale finally puttered out (after over 15 years) I have been forced to use this (although I am buying a new scale as soon as I finish writing this review.) It's crazy to do, but I have been averaging out between the 4 weight readings it gives me. If the low weight says 150 and the high weight says 157 I just assume I weigh around 153.5 or thereabouts. The body fat and water is WAY off. The numbers don't add up at all. (And, yes, I do know how to use a scale. I weigh every morning, at the same time, with the scale in the exact same place and I stand in the same exact spot.) By far, the WORST scale I have ever owned. Going to buy a mechanical one now.

Improved
This model replaced another TANITA that was almost 30 years old. It is easier to use. Looks good. and can turn on or off instantly, without needing to use any of the advanced features. Go For It!
