This product is one of the best face masks I have ever used and I am not young! It gives your skin really clear glowing complexion a bit on the expensive side but well worth it

This Emma Hardie clay mask is one of my favorite clay masks ever used. It actually smells good. I don't think ive ever used a clay mask that smelled good. Typically there's no real scent.I found this to be a gentle clay mask. It wasn't overly drying to my skin whereas clay masks usually are. I did have to follow up with moisturizer, so this isn't moisturizing or hydrating, either. My face feels really clean and decongested after using this EH mask. I deal with random break outs every now and again so this clay mask is perfect for me in that aspect. It'll last me a long time if I only use it during a break out. The jar is small (average size for a mask, which is still small if you ask me) but it spreads easily so I didn't have to over-use in order to get even coverage. To date I've tried several Emma Hardie products and I have never not one time been disappointed. There are even a few EH products in my regular skincare rotation that I can't let go of and will reorder when I run out. I'll add this clay mask to that list.*this is so unimportant but I'm gonna say it anyways....the little spatulas that come with moisturizers now days aren't anything I ever give a second thought to. But I LOVE the Emma Hardie skincare spatula. And including a cleansing cloth with a clay mask was genius.

We all deserve to pamper ourselves once in awhile. And that's precisely what it feels like I'm doing when using EH's Purifying Pink Clay Detox Mask. Also included with the clay mask is directions, a spatula to scoop the mask from the jar and a dual action cleansing cloth. Its simple to use. After cleansing your face, scoop out a small amount of clay mask; it applies easily to skin and not much is needed to sufficiently cover the face. (The neck can be done as well but I don't use the mask there) Allow the mask to remain on the skin for 10-15 minutes, then soak the cloth in warm water, rinsing out the excess. Use the microfiber side of the cloth first to remove the mask followed by the exfoliating side to finish. EH recommends removing the mask in lines, not the typical circles. The mask can be used once a week or as needed. I use it once a week.I love this mask. The very first time I applied it to my skin, I felt a slight burning. I was worried the burning would worsen because I have sensitive skin. It did not. In fact, it went away after 2-3 minutes. And it wasn't an agonizing burning, it was VERY light but noticeable. The second time I used the mask I only experienced the light burning around my nose area and just like the first time, it vanished quickly. The clay mask takes about 10 minutes to harden. I keep it on for 15. Its easy to remove and I love that the cloth not only removes it but exfoliates as well. (I hang the cloth up to air dry and it dries quickly) There is a slight scent to the mask, gone completely once its washed off. Its a pleasant enough scent.Following the use of the mask my skin is left unbelievably soft and smooth. It helps to keep my skin hydrated as well. I apply the mask after washing my face and when I use the cloth to exfoliate, I'm always surprised at the dirt I see on it. Clearly', I've not been getting all of the dirt off of my face from regular cleansing alone. EH pink clay mask helps remove the deep in my skin. It also helps to diminish the redness on my skin and even my skin tone out. I feel so refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated after using EH pink clay mask! That's what I mean when I say it feels like I'm pampering myself using this mask. My skin just feels and looks GOOD! Really good! I like this pink clay mask although I have mixed observations about using it. I'm fair skinned and have rosacea which is managed with 2 prescription medications - topical antibiotics and oral antibiotics. Having used this mask a couple of times, it does leave my skin around my nose - which is typically where my rosacea flares - rosy but not irritated. This redness is gone in about an hour. I do like the look of my skin after using this mask and included cleansing cloth. This mask has a strong odor which I'm not crazy about. It smells sweet, sharp, and how I remember makeup smelling many years ago. This does have Parfum (Fragrance) as an ingredient earlier than midway in the listed ingredients. (I assume ingredients are listed from what's mostly in this mask and then going to what's least in the mask.) I always seek as wholesome ingredients as possible and this mask includes Bilberry fruit extract, Sugar Cane extract, Orange fruit extract, Lemon fruit extract, Sugar Maple extract, Lentil seed extract, Sunflower seed oil, Agastache Mexicana flower/leaf/stem extract, and Cardiospermum Halicacabum flower/leaf/vine extract. Kaolin, the 2nd ingredient listed, is the pink clay. After using this, my skin does not feel moisturized but it does feel softer. Only a thin layer is needed so even though this mask's container is 1.7 ounces, it will last a good while. The instructions state to leave this mask on for 10-15 minutes. I keep it on for 14 minutes. There's a really nice cleansing cloth that's included for removing the mask and then exfoliating. The instructions include EH's recommended method of using the cleansing cloth which is short downward strokes. When the time is up, the microfiber side of the cleansing cloth, soaked in warm water, is used to remove the mask. The white cleansing cloth makes it really easy to see when all of the mask is removed. When that's done, the cloth's other side is muslin for more gentle strokes for exfoliation. When that's done, I wash this cleansing cloth immediately. I'm pleased that this cleansing cloth washes up easily and is just as white as when I first used it. It has a small loop on one corner where I hang it from one of my drying hooks. My rating is 4 stars for I like how easy this mask is to apply - it's like a thick cream. I don't like the scent although I can stand it. I love the cleansing cloth.
