Works well for caravan gas mains

This kit is simple enough. A really tight fit when installing so be prepared to warm the pipe in hot soapy water to get it on. That same soapy water can be used to check for leaks later. Easy to use and the valves indicator is clear. The only really odd thing, that I've never experienced before, is a release of gas from the regulator as the valve is opened. Other than that is great.

I bought this to use with a 15Kg Butane bottle in my Calorgaz barbecue.I had to heat the rubber hose in some hot water and put a little liquid soap on the gas inlet on my barbecue to allow the hose to slip on.Some say use WD40 but I strongly advise you don't do this as it can harm the rubber hose.After this it was very easy to fit, the clip on regulator being incredibly easy to use.Once the clips were tightened up on the hose it feels very securely attached.I chose the Calor regulator, even though it is a little more expensive, as I use a Calor butane bottle.So this does the job perfectly, and the price is fair.What's not to like?I hope you find my review helpful.

Although more expensive than others, I purchased this regulator and hose because it is a genuine Calor brand for more peace of mind concerning safety as I am using my gas cylinder indoors. As others have said, it is difficult to fit the hose due to the quality and tight fitting standards that it is made to for safety. I had to apply a bit of soap liquid to the fitting, as well as soak the hose end in boiling water, but once fitted and secured with their quality jubilee clips it inspires confidence that it is tightly connected. The regulator is quality made, heavy and solid engineered. It fits and releases from my cylinder (15KG, dark blue Calor butane) perfectly, and the on/off valve is positive and works flawless.

Genuine Calor regulator and good quality EN16436-1 hose. Used to replace the old screw fit setup when replacing an old 4.5kg Calor butane bottle with a new 7kg bottle.
