I wouldn’t trust it for food use. You cannot get it wet after drying without making mud

Although I have not used the product, I'm a professional sculptor. I would suggest using this for decorative pieces only. For a functional mug, I would use the clay made for kilns and glazes (found under pottery clay)

Q: Can this clay be used with silicone molds?

Hi Judith, Yes, it can be used with silicone moulds. You’ll need to let the sculpture dry, then seal with an acrylic spray or apply a thin coat of acrylic paint (to stop the silicone sticking to the clay). Then you should be good to go. The Mont Marte Team
