They get better with age (theirs not yours)
After a lot of jiggling around I got them to fit perfectly to block out 34 decibel noise level. Then I read the little book that came with the ear muffs and discovered I could have saved myself a lot of frustration by reading the booklet first. They do come pretty tight but I believe them when they say the parts will eventually loosen up. Note that the box also stipulates this product was designed in the USA but made in Taiwan (where presumably the small manufacturing business is located.)

Great if you just want to look normal..! And they block noise.
I got these for riding the subway, constructions sites, travel, being out in public and a) not wanting so much noise, but b) not looking like an idiot wearing huge earphones. These look like you could be wearing standard bluetooth headphones. They are NOT as noise-blocking as my other pair which are the Pro Case Noise Reduction Ear Muffs (not expensive) which are a bit more comfortable.. but are HUGE and have red stripes.. so you'd feel like an idiot out in public. As I said.. these ones are fairly comfortable (and I'm picky).. but just look... normal.

EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE!
I got these solely for the purpose of blocking out the sound of my Beloved Husband's very loud raucous snoring and they are doing exactly that! YIPPEE! I find them comfortable enough to sleep in, the cups are soft enough that I do not notice them after a few minutes. Last night, I wore my wired earbuds with these on top and it was great because all I could hear was my movie, no straining to discern the dialogue of the movie from the snoring of Beloved husband. I bought the teal ones and the color is really pretty. These are not bulky, they do not look or feel bulky when I am wearing them, either and they fold up small and can be stored neatly on my bedside table during the day when they are not in use. However, they are performing so well at blocking out the sounds of snoring that I think I may have to use these when I am going to the gun range or doing almost anything where I will be around loud noises. One thing to know before you buy - the headband is not adjustable, it is a nicely padded and fixed one-size headband and since it fits me (5'2" woman with regular "woman sized head", I will venture that it might not fit a larger man or someone who knows they have a large head). The ear cups are attached to the headband via a metal piece and that is where the sizing can be adjusted, the ear cup can be pushed up on the metal piece to make them fit a smaller person and pulled down to make them more suited to a larger person. I was able to find the perfect fit easily and wear them comfortable all night the very first night I wore them. I am so pleased! We have tried many methods to try to block the snoring sounds - foam ear plugs, waxy ear plugs, fancy noise-canceling ear plugs, headphones, expensive noise reduction headphones/ear muffs, etc but these are the very first ones which have been effective against my Beloved Husband's snoring and they are very effective. I highly recommend these Pro For Sho 34dB NRR Hearing Protection Ear Muffs!

Block sound, get sleep.
Amazing quality for the price. Does exactly what you expect to do and does it well! I got these to replace my other muffs because these have thinner cups and are easier to wear while sleeping. I wear them to block out sounds (repetitive bird noises, sounds around the house, etc;) that give me anxiety and what I call a "cortisol flush". Once that happens I'm up all night as if I had 3 cups of coffee. It does such a good job at blocking out sound that when i have them on at night and I am laying down I can LITERALLY hear my own heartbeat and that also helps me to fall asleep. If you have hypersensitive hearing issues these are an awesome purchase!

A must for indoor range
Was concerned with price and whether these needed additional ear plugs to accommodate 34db but surprised at the noise reduction. Had been using the standard slim muffs with 23 +db but having the use additional earplugs but these are far superior and highly recommended for indoor ranges ( also help alleviate flinching ). These are a must. The only concern I have is on the clasp longevity but for the price you could replace these every year.

Ear muffs for hearing protection
Works great when mowing. Like the profile w/smaller earpieces. Not big and clunky like our last ones.

Sensory Saver
I'm on the spectrum and have major sensory issues when it comes to loud sounds and sometimes just repetitive noises. These have been life changing. Best pair I've ever gotten! Highly recommend.

Poor noise reduction
I tried the Pro Fo Sho this week and just returned. I don't believe they are in the 30s for NRR rating.I compared them to two other brands I have: Champion, and Browning muffs.I can hear 50% more noise, and loud noises with the pro fo sho.The problem? These pro fo sho are not cupped around the ear tightly, and use less material vs. competitors. These would be ok to reduce noise mowing the lawn, or maybe for someone needing to study in a noisy room. But they do not seal out the sound as good as Champion or Browning ones I have.First time buyers-Be aware that good ear protection is supposed to be very tight and formed around the ears for better hearing protection.
