So far so good.Brought this to grind up herb and spice seeds like coriander, cumin, mustard seeds etc.I followed the instructions how to clean it with a few grains of rice which I was impressed with.Have used it a couple of times now and works good and well.Handy removable base that gathers the grindings ready to use.Very useful and decorative too.

It can grind pepper fine..

This grinder whilst lovely to look at is utterly useless and dangerous.The interior had jagged metal inside which prevented the peppercorns from flowing down to the grinding surface which was badly made and it’s grooves were too shallow to grind effectively.I had to remove waste material internally to try get it to work but despite that work it still was very slow and produced a very bad grind despite all attempts to adjust it. There was waste metal internally that was detached and came out in the first use, luckily it wasn’t used over food!Overall it’s a very badly and cheaply made item that certainly is not fit for purpose.After years on Amazon it has been the very first product I have ever sent back. Utter rubbish.

I'm absolutely positive that when I bought this, it said salt and pepper in the header description - which it does not now. I bought two; a copper one for pepper and a silver colored one for salt. The salt corroded and pitted the inside, and I am fairly sure made it unsafe for consumption. I have since bought a wooden grinder for salt, and actually bought another one of these for Sichuan pepper corns, because they look great as a pair. Reasonably easy to adjust the grind depth, but you do need strong fingers or a spanner.

I received today and the quality of the product is really good and the grinding element works very well.

Very small in fact smaller than I expected

I wanted a pepper grinder that actually works. Saw this rather unique example and more out of intrigue decided to give it a try. The grinder came the next day well-packaged and contained guidance notes that I could read and understand. Sometimes basically designed things seem to work better, which is certainly the case here. To get the desired thickness of ground peppercorns there is the need to adjust the nuts on the grinder top.Otherwise I am leased with my purchase
