John Guest (PI211008S) Reducing Elbow 5/16 Tube X 1/4" Tube Gray"

This is a hard to find item and Amazon has it. It is for my Whirlpool water dispenser replacement. My old one started to leak and this reducing elbow worked perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. Works as intended, expensive shipping is the is the downer. Shipping is more than the fitting.

This is a perfect replacement for the water line elbow on my Whirlpool fridge that is no longer available. Anyone with these fridges know the poor design has the water line freezing every winter requiring you to remove this elbow to flush the ice out the lines. I think I wore it out taking it on and off all these years. Hopefully this one will last longer.

I used this product as an adapter to connect 1/4" polytubing to a water filter housing that had a 5/16" inlet and outlet. This reducing elbow worked great and no leaks! A cover is installed that normally hides the upper filter housing and tubing fittings.

I purchased a replacement water filter housing for my older model Fridgeidaire but the elbow would not fit. The new housing inlets were made smaller than the original; 1/4” instead of 5/16”. I bought these reducer elbows and it worked perfectly. I really wish the filter housing makers would list this info as it could have saved me some time.
