A Culinary Masterpiece in a Can – SPAM Oven Roasted Turkey is the Unsung Hero of My Pantry!
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that a humble can of SPAM Oven Roasted Turkey could spark joy in my kitchen, but here I am, passionately singing its praises. This isn’t just canned meat—it’s a culinary marvel that has earned its rightful place at the top of my pantry essentials. If you're on the hunt for something quick, versatile, and unexpectedly delicious, brace yourself, because SPAM Oven Roasted Turkey is about to take you on a flavor-packed journey.First Impressions:When the box of twelve glorious 12-ounce cans arrived at my doorstep, I felt an overwhelming sense of excitement, akin to discovering a hidden gem. Each can was like a tiny treasure chest, containing the essence of perfectly seasoned, oven-roasted turkey—ready to be transformed into something spectacular. I wasn’t just looking at canned meat; I was staring at the foundation of my next culinary masterpiece. The Flavor:Now, let’s talk taste. The first bite of SPAM Oven Roasted Turkey was a revelation. This isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill canned meat. Oh no, this is turkey that has been lovingly roasted to perfection, with a rich, savory flavor that instantly transports you to a Thanksgiving feast. It’s tender, juicy, and just the right amount of salty—perfect for pairing with anything from eggs to rice, or even starring in a sandwich that would make your deli jealous. What surprised me the most was the balance of seasoning. Often, canned meats can be overly salty, but SPAM nailed it with this turkey version. It’s flavorful without being overwhelming, which makes it perfect for enhancing a variety of dishes or even enjoying straight out of the can (yes, it’s that good!).Versatility:The real beauty of SPAM Oven Roasted Turkey lies in its versatility. From breakfast to dinner, this turkey adapts to any culinary scenario. Need a protein boost for your scrambled eggs? Dice it up, toss it in, and watch as your breakfast transforms into a gourmet meal. Want to level up your lunch game? Slap a slice onto a toasted sandwich with a smear of cranberry sauce, and suddenly, you’re reliving Thanksgiving Day glory. But wait—it gets better. Fried rice? Check. Tacos? Absolutely. Stir-fry? You bet. The possibilities are truly endless with this protein-packed, flavor-loaded wonder. I even threw it into a pasta dish with a creamy Alfredo sauce, and let me tell you, it was a stroke of genius. The roasted turkey flavor melded beautifully with the richness of the sauce, creating a comfort food masterpiece that I now crave on the regular.Convenience:When life gets busy and you need something quick without sacrificing quality, SPAM Oven Roasted Turkey is your hero in a can. No more thawing, marinating, or slow-roasting for hours—just pop open the can, and you’re ready to go. In mere minutes, you can have a delicious, protein-packed meal that tastes like you’ve been working in the kitchen all day.For meal prepping, this product is a lifesaver. I’ve stocked up my fridge with pre-portioned slices, ready to grab and go for lunches, snacks, or whenever hunger strikes. With this pack of 12 cans, you’ll always have a stash of delicious turkey on hand to rescue you from the dreaded “what’s for dinner?” dilemma.Portion Size and Value:Each 12-ounce can is packed to the brim with delicious oven-roasted turkey, and with a pack of 12, you’re looking at days and days of culinary bliss. The portion size is perfect—not too much, not too little—and with each can, you can easily whip up a meal for two or save the leftovers for later. And the value? Unbeatable. For the price, you’re getting premium, roasted turkey flavor without the hassle or cost of preparing it yourself.Healthier Option:One of the best parts of SPAM Oven Roasted Turkey is that it’s a leaner, healthier alternative to traditional SPAM. You’re still getting that signature SPAM flavor and texture, but with turkey as the star protein, it’s a bit lighter on the palate and waistline. This is guilt-free indulgence at its finest, perfect for those who want a tasty, convenient meal without compromising their health goals.

mild flavor, greatly reduced calories over other spam, + higher protein. Similar to LITE, but turkey
I love spam. So quick, easy, convenient. Really compliments a low carb, high protein diet. I dont necessarily gobble it up by the whole can, but I do use a portion of it frequently. I find that the taste tends to "sit heavy" (with most flavors), so I often dont need or want much (2 ounce serving is perfect) despite my having a huge appetite. On of my favorite uses is in making a breakfast sandwich. Using my mini dash griddle I like adding a thin slice to it, top with an egg cooked, sometimes add in a little cheese. Close the lid, let it do its thing for a minute. Once done, then I place it on a low carb roll <<--which I buy from Wmart(for fraction of price).I have tried many SPAM flavors, and have pretty much liked them all. I keep a bunch in my pantry, so I wasnt in need of any more SPAM, but then I saw this TURKEY option. I just bought it on a whim!Yet now that I have taken a closer look at the nutritional stats, I am very much keen on buying more. This has a little more protein than most flavors, and the calories are easily 50% less. I am not really focused on calories right now, but this is significant enough to pique my interest.Taste wise-- it is light in flavor. Gentle. Not overpowering. But lends a good delicate flavor and texture. It kind of reminds me of their LITE spam option. Which happens to have very similar nutrient profile. Except one is made with ham, and the other turkey. As for the product description, the image of the can is correct. Some of the pics show misinformation (I think it is for spam lite now that I look closely at it). So go by the picture of the can, and the drop down info in the written portion of the product description. This has 9 grams of protein, 80 calories (2 ounces, which is 1/6th of the can).Overall: comes down to personal preference. I like it, and plan to continue to buy it. It is relatively cheap option that makes a great addition to pantry for every day use, or post apocalyptic use. I eat it COLD, I eat it room temp, I eat it hot, I eat it fried, I eat it barely warmed up. I dont care, I like it in all ways.----->>>>>5 stars. I happen to like this turkey option for the lighter flavor, less cloying taste, the greatly reduced calories (good or bad depending on what you are looking for) and the higher protein per serving.I think this will be my regular, everyday SPAM (ok, not every single day, but my regular go-to for basic dishes), and then I will bust open a can of flavored for times I want the added oomph.yum yum!

SPAM is good.
Turkey SPAM! Great combination. A couple eggs on top, or some cheese, tomato, on toast... delicious.

Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam… Lovely Spam! Wonderful Spam! Bloody Vikings!
Don't get me wrong - I like this stuff a TON, but be realistic in your expectations. This is NOT Lobster Thermidor aux crevettes with a Mornay sauce, garnished with truffle pâté, brandy, and a fried egg on top; nor is it your Grandmother's Thanksgiving Day, lovingly roasted turkey in a can, nuh-uh.It is, however, pretty darn tasty in its own right in a sort of turkey-ish flavored kind of way, and a nice alternative to all the other pork-based and flavored Spam varieties (which I also like a ton!) Use it anywhere you'd use any of the other Spams. It works just as well and tastes just fine. I particularly enjoy it with 5 minute stuffing mix, chicken or turkey gravy and a side salad, but you are limited only by your imagination.Taste and convenience aside, I like the iconic, easily stackable rectangular can with the pull-ring top (and I'm old enough to remember Spam with twist key to open). Given reasonable, room temperature storage out of direct sunlight and it remains good well past the best by date. It is super good to have on hand in case of emergencies, and it's even quite palatable cold, right out of the can.Try it, you'll like it.I'm Monsieur Creosote, and I approve this review!

Not a big spam guy, but this canned turkey is not bad, makes a good sandwich, I'm camping until November and I needed some stuff that I could store on the shelf, I'm pleased with it !!
