Q: Does anyone know if each section is open at the bottom or closed? I hate when papers fall under each section.

The sections are open at the bottom, but very close to the bottom. It appears to me that only very small pieces of paper would fall under the section.

Q: Will it hold a manilla folder with papers in it?

No, it will be too tight and the manilla folder will not easily go in or out, but the expanding files work as a folder anyway.

Q: How big are the tab labels? Mine is on the way and I want to make some stickers ahead of its delivery.

Description is saying 1/3 tab size, so 2/3" x 3 7/16" would be the size label needed.
