I was on vacation when I received an interview request for my dream job. I hadn't brought any makeup with me, but since the interview would be conducted via Zoom, I wanted to look my best and headed to CVS - the only option in the rural-ish area I was in. Being "of a certain age", medium brown is my go-to since black eyeliner looks too harsh. Options were quite limited but I took a chance on Midnight Mocha (smokey gray) and loved the results. It defines the eyes nicely without looking heavy and pairing it with dark mascara achieved the professional but natural look I was going for. Great staying power too. I've recently ordered a few more pencils from Amazon to have on hand.

I love this color. It's not the typical bluish gray that some lines carry, nor is it dark and harsh. I'm in my 70's and fair. This taupe-like shade is very complementary to my gray hair and brows, as well as my light colored eyes. While the darker charcoal shades are better for many others with darker skin tones and hair and brows, I find this shade works better for us "Ghosty Girls". It's also a plus that this Tattoo series lasts for a long time and is waterproof as well.

Color is A LOT lighter than shown in the images. Not a bad shade, but definitely more of a cool beige tone rather than a light gray.Otherwise, it's a great product. Goes on smooth, builds very nicely with only a few added strokes, and the color lasts all day, even through sweat or rain. Definitely my favorite brand for waterproof liner, just wanted a bit darker of a gray tone.

So nice to find an eyeliner that lasts, is subtle for the fair haired, and so easy to apply. Bonus - it's a bargain!

NOT Smokey Gray as is listed in the product description. It is taupe, and more to the brown side. I'm disappointed that I have to return it.

I ordered this eyeliner because I liked the color. It is soft and doesn't last as long as other eyeliner, but the price was good. This time I placed as order for three. It was so soft and kept crumbling as I tried to apply it. There was more eyeliner in the sink than on my eyes. I might get 3 or 4 applications per pencil at this rate. Time to look for another brand.
