Best Value for Replacing a Transformer
The transformer on my Rain Bird Irrigation Timer Model: ESP12LX Plus was making a loud vibrating noise. I talked to a customer service representative at Rain Bird who told me there were no replacement parts available for my model. He said I needed to buy a new one, which costs $160. Therefore, I contacted a local irrigation supplier who said he had a replacement transformer for my timer and it would cost $56. Finally, I checked on Amazon and found this transformer which goes with my timer for only $13.40 delivered. What an incredible saving and SHAME on RAIN BIRD for not supporting their product. The transformer was very easy to install and my irrigation timer works as good as the day I bought it, which was over 10 years ago.

Fixed.
Power surge took out time, thought it was 20 pin cable, or circuit board, swapped cable to another unit and it worked. So did transformer swap and old one worked fine. Ordered/installed! My third world country wants $500+USD for Rainbird ESP ME 3 timer.

Transformer solved the problem with my rain bird ESP-Me controller
Transformer was easy to connect and does what it was intended for. I thought I was going to have to purchase another sprinkler controller, but that wasn’t the case. I am very pleased with this purchase. However I would recommend using anti-oxidant compound when connecting the wires which are aluminum on device to copper wires on the power cord to prevent corrosion.
