Highly recommended!
Comfortable and durable! Even in warm weather, my feet never felt sweaty. Plus, these socks can take a beating after many cycles wash and wear. Great buy!

The BEST
Best socks I’ve ever owned. In a biker, as in motor bikes and these are my riding socks. They make my boots fit like a glove. Be careful… they will spoil you rotten!

These > Fox River
I used Fox River socks forever but recently tried these and now I'm a believer. Replacing all my boot socks with these!

I am impressed
I have always bought cheap packaged socks, only replacing them when they get holes, never seeing the point of spending so much money on a single pair. In fact, I go barefoot around the house and am not even a fan of socks. That said, while these Darn Tough socks are expensive, I have to say that these are the best socks I have ever worn in my life. I've bought more after the first ones left such a great impression. After wearing them in a bit, they have naturally formed to my foot and feel really good on me. I think they make a great gift, and I never thought I would say that about socks.

Review update after wearing the socks 7+ years.
I learned about these sock while researching long distance hiking. They are very comfortable and durable socks. I traditionally purchased Gold Toe socks over the past 30 + years. I purchased 3 pair of these socks to try and I absolutely loved they way they felt when wearing them. They draw themselves up around your foot for a nice snug fit. They do not bunch up around your toes in a boot and do not slide down your leg but very little. I can't say enough good things about this sock and will be buying more to replace my Gold Toe socks. They are very pricey for a pair of socks. I know inflation and the Tariff issues are making things more expensive as of late. The warranty on them is unconditional, which almost no company does now days.Review Update 7 years later:I purchased three pair of these socks in 2018 and have had them 7 years now. I figured I would write an update on how they have fared over the years, including hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2022. They do wear over time as they are washed. I noticed the fluff and padding tend to diminish over time and become thin and do show signs of wear. As they wear out and the material begins to thin, it reveals a sock under the layers that is thin and reminds me of compression socks that the elderly wear. The synthetic material also degrades over time. I noticed over time after washing them, the socks begin to become somewhat stiff and less pliable. The wear patterns for me are on the bottom of the heel and ball of the foot. This includes a small bit of wear in these same areas that go up the side of the sock slightly. When I was hiking the Appalachian Trail, I wore a pair of Injini socks as a base and put the Darn Tough socks over these socks. Between the two, they did a fantastic job at preventing blisters wholly on the foot and between the toes. I had one blister that needed treatment during the first week, which was small. Afterward, no more blisters. I still wear these socks with a pair of work boots most of the time. I have a good solid pair of leather work boots that are name brand and last 6+ years. I often clean the boots and wash the insoles on a regular basis to keep them fresh. I recently noticed an odor coming from my boots that prompted investigation. My feet sweat in these boots and the socks absorb the sweat, which began to have an odor over time (plainly, they stink). I have not figured out if it is the socks or the boots over time that caused this. I have a boot dryer that I use daily and no longer wear these socks two to three days at a time. I change them daily now because they are so thin. I think the thinning and degradation of the synthetic material over time may have had something to do with diminishing the ability to prevent odor.I am still keeping the star rating at 5 because I have not found a sock that matches this quality. Not to mention, I still have not worn a hole in the sock yet. I do think in the coming months or years a hole will develop, at which time, I will put the lifetime guarantee to the test. Overall, I still wear these socks on the regular and have bought family members a few pairs for their birthday to try out. I am planning on purchasing a few more pair of these socks in the future for myself since they last so long. If I ever get a hole in them and go through the claim process, I will update this review with the results. In the meantime, just know you are getting a very good pair of socks if you buy the Darn Tough brand.

Comfortable, but Not as Soft or Odor-Resistant as Expected
I really like the overall comfort of these merino wool blend socks—they fit well and provide good cushioning. However, the material isn’t as soft as I had hoped, especially compared to other merino wool socks I’ve worn. Additionally, while they offer some odor control, it’s not as effective as I would have preferred, particularly after a long day of wear. That said, they are still a solid choice for everyday use and outdoor activities, just not quite perfect in terms of softness and odor resistance.
