I looked at many dispenser valves and most were the same size at the inlet, around 3/4 inch. The seals will cover a pretty wide opening even if valve does not seat well. This valve was 3Xs as costly as many but it is stainless steel and works really well. It's style is impressive and the wife wants another for a glass jar dispenser that has a low end plastic value now. I would be very surprised if it does not fit and work well for a standard ceramic crock.

Do not know. Very high quality and elegant design. Wife wants me to order another for a glass dispenser w a low end plastic valve.
