A good book
Useful excercises worth going through. I noticed soon that many of my own answers were wrong. I hope that I really learned something from the wisdom of Elder. Good Alexander Elder quality. Good explanations.

Adds little to the main book
I was very disappointed with this book. It adds little new material to that provided in the main Entries and Exits book. I am a professional trader, and find the manner of the main author very patronising - am I alone in this? However, the contributions from the other traders in the main Entries and Exits book are excellent. Because this Study Guide contains little or no new material from these contributing authors, it adds little. Instead the main author has simply rehashed the content from Entries and Exits in a set of very patronising questions.

Interesting read
It's OK for the price. Dr. Elder puts out some good materials. I bought this in conjunction with "Entries and Exits" book. It had some good items that make you think about how you are trading and why you are doing a certain thing, so it is useful. The reason I gave it a 4-star is because for me, most of the material was redundant (which isn't necessarily bad --- it doesn't hurt to get a "refresher" on basics when your money is on the line) and I am not a believer that any chart can predict the future, no matter how much work is put into analyzing it. I am a numbers person ------ if the numbers are right, I will trade bubble gum futures. If the numbers are wrong, I will step aside. For me, it's that simple. All in all, this was a good read and worth adding to your library.
