Works perfectly well, and just as advertised
I bought it to replace a previous Amscope model that uses USB 2.0 so I could get a higher refresh rate, and I am happy with it.Someone else mentioned it is not parfocal and the refresh time is long. Any camera will not be parfocal if it is not at the correct height... it takes time and care to tune the height so that it is perfectly parfocal. Also, in order to get the refresh time that is listed in the specs, you need to use a USB 3.0 port on your computer. If you use a USB 2.0 it will be slower than the specs. It also helps to do focusing at the lower resolutions, because those have faster refresh rates.

FPS issues if you don't have the right configuration
I'm on MacOS. The camera only reaches advertised FPS if you turn off auto-exposure in the AmLite or ToupLite software. I have mine working at advertised FPS even with a USB Hub and a USB 3.0 cable extension between the camera and my computer.Overall I like the camera, but if I did it again, I'd opt for an HDMI microscope camera and the el gato cam link 4k into OBS. For now, I will keep the camera as it suits my goals.

Not good quality
I was excited to replace my eyepiece camera with a c mount style. This seemed to have decent specs and ran off usb 3.0. The image quality was very choppy. And random pink blocks would appear on the screen. Tried adjust settings but nothing changed. I ended up returning it.

Nice camera.
Purchased to replace a 5MP camera that came bundled with the microscope. Excellent resolution. Included multiple adapters. Included very capable software.

13 FPS max output for live view
Needed a microscope camera for the new Amscope I picked up for my small repair business, so I figured how could I go wrong with an Amscope camera to go with it.Well, basically it just didn't do what it said it would, which is show a live image of what I was doing. Even when I hooked it up to a full-on gaming computer, the max framerate I was able to get was 13. That's after turning all the settings down to increase the framerate possible.I wasn't expecting max resolutions as a viewable framerate, but even at the lowest resolution it didn't do it for me. There is a delay, as well as the entire image blurs in between movements, making it pretty darn difficult to see what you're doing, let alone record it with any quality (which was also affected by the same blur when the part was moved at all).I went with a much cheaper HDMI camera and it's actually performing quite well, however I do miss the software that I was able to use with the USB camera, and I wonder if there's a camera that would let me have the best of both worlds. For now though, I'm set.

Solid and effective
The only thing that keeps this from being 5-star for me is the industry’s neglect of the Mac community. AmScope makes fine equipment, but barely gives a nod to Mac users. The primitive, bare-bones software looks and acts like a Windows program. I’ve been trying different AmScope cameras and all have the same limitation, only, with the higher-priced 4K ones, the issues increase. If you are on a Windows platform, this will probably do the job for you. Keep in mind that number of megapixels does not correlate with visual clarity and image quality.
