Q: Does this palette come it’s a lid to close it? I was confused since it is a subsidiary palette which can fit inside the large palette?

The lid is attached to the palette, meaning that you just need to fold the palette to close it. Also this is the 'large' palette, not a subsidiary palette.

Q: Is this good for acrylic painting as well? All I see is watercolor...

You could use it for acrylics if you clean it out continuously and don’t let the acrylics dry on it. Scraping could be tedious. Spray bottle with water mixed with acrylic retarder would be a good idea while working. It’s a great palette for watercolor and traditional gouache. The palettes that are made for acrylics that you can peel the paint off when it dries are much better. Some have lids

Q: if i put tube paint in both the top and bottom pan, when I close it wouldn't the paint drip/fall into the other pan and mix with other paints?

The paint stays stable and usually does not move after you have squeezed it onto the pan. You could also dry out your paints for a couple of days and reuse it by applying water.

Q: Where can i find the 18 insert? i can’t find it on amazon, or elsewhere. any ideas?

It’s there in Amazon from Softbay…unfortunately, there was no item number.. key in ShinHan palette inserts…it’s pretty pricey.. $65, but u get two.. If u still can’t find it, send me your email address and I’ll send u the link.. be sure that when you key it in to spell ShinHan this way with no spaces.. Eileen
