A lot of crazy reviews out there. Guess what, this works better than a 5 gallon bucket with a commode seat on top! This is a very sturdy portable toilet, except the plastic plunger handle for rinsing the toilet bowl. I like the compact size, yet large storage. There is very little smell if you pour some water in the base unit first, otherwise ammonia type odors build up. Lids work well, seat works well, valve handle is easy to use. Remember to open valve handle first and you may get a bullseye so there is nothing to clean up. The water pump handle could be better built and it takes careful effort to pull it up, then you push it down and water flows around the bowl. This is where aggressive people are going to break this unit, perhaps a bit of olive oil on the mechanism will make it easier to use, therefor harder to break. I like the large clasps, the water meter, which only measures fresh water available, not your dirty water level. I like the separation feature, the discharge tube is very sturdy. And I like the looks of this unit, it is not obtrusive. While our sewers get repaired, this is a lifesaver, and yes, I would put it in the van or car for emergency use, might want to get one of those privacy hoops if needed. For the price, this is a bargain, considering shipping is free for a bulky item that would normally cost $30, so that is a big savings. I looked at the Thetford, and it really didn't have any features in comparison. I do think a push button over pressure valve, or a pressure relief valve would be nice with this type of unit, you can probably buy one inexpensively and install it yourself to make a perfect portable toilet.

Awesome toilet for our off grid cabin. We previously had another similar toilet that wasn’t as easy to use or clean. The built in hose is wonderful to aid with cleaning. It’s a great sturdy potty that is comfortable to use. No odor and a blend in look make it a super value for the price. We highly recommend!

Used on a recent week long camping trip. Worked well as advertised. We loved the elongated diagonal seat, ease of operating the flush mechanism, dumping, and no odors. I can't think of any negatives. Would buy again. Highly recommended.

Awesome toilet for our cargo trailer conversion. I took a chance on this brand for after experiencing leakage from several other brands. It did not disappoint. We used it for our 3-day mother's day camping trip and I found it to be very sturdy and comfortable to use. I used the Walex Bio-Fresh Liquid Enzyme Holding Tank Treatment Deodorizer—an Amazon purchase—to eliminate any potential odors, and it worked like a charm. No odors whatsoever. We did not experience any leakage, which was my main concern. That alone was an added bonus for the price. I wanted to give this product 5 stars, but had to deduct a half star for a design flaw. There seems to be a slight elbow turn/bend just below the flange which caused our biodegradable toilet paper to get stuck in that area and prevented the toilet paper from going into the holding tank without pouring extra water in to force it back. Typically, other brands are designed with a straight drop into the holding tank. Otherwise, this was a great buy.

It's a life saver when tent camping and your not close to the restrooms. I love it and would recommend it to anyone. It also holds large people very sturdy and easy to clean.

Had a septic system emergency and used this portable for a couple weeks. We were able to dump it into our septic tank as it was dug up and open.This is a really nice and easy to use porta potti.Height is the same as a standard toilet.Easy to use and easy to clean.

We have been using our standard toilet in our mostly self built Sprinter for about two years. We have it in a storage box that we keep a roll of to, and a bag to put it in when done. No sh!?ing in the camper (except for emergencies!)!!It serves as an extra seat in the box with the lid easily removed to use. It mostly gets used for its intended purpose at night and when the is no other place to go. This toilet has worked very well. Our fam has body shapes and sizes and each has used it without issue.The only time we notice the smel is when the slide is open. It flushes well and dumps easily.

Love it, worth buying if your a 18 wheeler make sure you get one a size down i wasn't expecting mines to be big
