MindPlace Limina DeepVision Bundle - Light & Sound Meditation Aid System

When the ongoing COVID-19 crisis started to take its toll on me physically and mentally, I wanted something to help with adaptation and self-optimization. I needed to find a healthy way to relax and sleep better in my personal life. Professionally, I had to make an occupational pivot and insert myself into a new position with more responsibilities. The challenge to keep up the pace and stay focused has been stressful.I think the Limina Light and Sound Machine by MindPlace will be just the right tool for navigating through my goals.I've used Light & Sound AVS (Audio Visual Systems) in the past, and the MindPlace products always had a reputation for product quality and quality of support. At the time, I had one of the "Legacy" devices called the Sirius, and I used it on and off with great benefits until it got lost in one of my apartment moves.I forgot all about the technology of Light and Sound and its benefits until reviewing this last year. Looking for something to help me get out of this mental fog, I searched for "benefits of light and sound on mental health" and came across an article on Medical News Today discussing a study that found Light and Sound Therapy may boost brain function. So that brought me back to MindPlace.The MindPlaceSupport website is a trove of information with a Forum of active AVS enthusiasts (@FB: "Forums" are still cooler than you), a Blog, and excellent customer service.I found out that the Limina not only had all the Legacy Sirius Sessions that I liked, but it also came with 50+ advanced KBS Procyon Sessions. It could decode SpectraStrobe and AudioStrobe songs using the AUX port - huge if you enjoy hearing music in addition to the frequency following effect. So I was armed with that info and but still a little on the fence about my decision because I was separately researching about the "Ganzfeld experiment" and really wanted to try the DeepVision GanzFrame Goggles that came with their more advanced/expensive model, the Kasina.Then one day, I saw the bundling offer on Amazon (Limina AVS System + DeepVision GranzFrames) and knew I was a click away from starting my L&S journey up again. . . . "Proceed to checkout".Like many health-related routines ("Quarantine 10lb?....+...20?), I haven't always been the best at keeping up a regular schedule for my mental health. But unlike suddenly leaping off the couch to run a 5 or 10k marathon, using a Light & Sound Session (even if it has been a while or it's your first time) will not be a painful or regrettable experience. That is why I remember loving my experience with the MindPlace machine before. I could be in a super stressed out, frazzled state, then put on a 30-minute Meditation Session, and Bam! Zen-Monk-Mode, stress rolling off me like sweat in a sauna!So I'm "leaping off the couch", jumping right back in, and already, I am super impressed with just unboxing this thing! So crazy how much more the technology has advanced, there is so much included (I'll try to post a video soon), yet the Limina console is simple and easy to use. The first session I ran last night (Procyon #27 Night Voyage 60), had me asleep before it was even over, and I woke up like I had slept in for 9 hours even though it was my usual 5 hour night. I am now looking forward to exploring all of the different mind states I can achieve using this new Limina machine.Exactly what I needed - Thank you!

Was so looking forward to this gadget! Arrived today. I put it all together, read the manuals, turned the thing on - one short burst of sound, then when I went to change sessions, no sound. I checked the earbuds. They're fine. Goggles are fine. I tried connecting to the laptop for sound, no dice. I think it's the actual Limina device, not the earbuds, cables, or laptop I have. I changed the batteries. I fiddled with the sound buttons. I changed earbud ports. I clicked the earbuds. NO SOUND. I called MindPlace support and got a recording saying due to Covid, most employees are working from home and that I must send an email! I guess phones don't work in people's homes? So I found their web site and sent an email. Let's see how long it takes to get a reply and a resolution. UGH....so disappointed.

I liked my Procyon AVS but I love my Limina AVS. The sounds and lights on the Limina are a huge upgrade from the old Procyon I had. Having the deep vision glass is another plus. I thought it would feel more comfortable to use the AVS with my eyes closed but when I have my eyes open the colors are much clearer than what I see through the red of my eyelids.P.S. I did have a problem with the first unit I received. There was no sound coming from the device. I ordered a replacement from Amazon and returned all the parts from the defective Order. The second unit I received is what I am reviewing because It working as it should.

I am 66 years old and this is my first time trying such a machine. I like the sessions but would really like to download some of my meditations but have absolutely no idea how to do it and there is nothing that tells you how EXACTLY to do t in the instruction booklet. They say you can do it with the usb cable provided but how?

As a mind machine connoisseur, I like my old 20 year old SIRIUS much better. Mind machines are great for relaxation and meditation. Everyone should buy one.

We used these alot. I used for short and long meditation and deep trance. Family members for insomnia. I took a star of because of the wires, like others have said... i purchased in 2021, why aren't they wireless by now?

I'm giving it to my adult son for Christmas. I don't know how to use it.

Would have liked to review it but brand new out of the box the control ring up switch is bad. Other switches works fine, you can positively hear and feel it. But the up switch has no feel or sounds and is not working right.Nice looking unit but seems they have no quality control. A simple 2 second check at the end of the production line would have stopped them from sending out junk units.
