Plainly practical with design foremost in this frankenstein knife.
One of the best knives in my possession. Great D2 steel. In that grey area between stainless and not. Waiting to see if it will get a patina. AMAZING EDC and a nice leather sheath, does not have enough heft to it to bushwhack or baton but it does damn fine work right from the box. I've fully skinned and processed a deer using ONLY this knife. Still hair popping sharp. Fish, bird, and other small game? No problem. I live in SE Alaska and can easily say this can keep up being in the bush. Retention strap is a necessity out here as s*** will go flying out when you're in thick brush. Lost my benchmade 162 Sibert going through it.I've got a friend who watched me do all of my testing on it and is extremely jealous, while anxiously waiting for his KOA elk hunter to arrive. The ergonomics are insane and side holding is no problem. The tip on the other side of the blade IS SHARPENED. Allows for slicing on your upswing for processing/skinning. The jimping is very aggressive and for firesteel, this knife BY FAR puts out way more sparks than any other, including ones with the striker attachment! Will be purchasing more from KOA in the future.5 stars, great buy. Purchased it for $100. Can easily get it around $60 to $90 range.

A top of the line knife. The steel takes a keen edge and feels good on the sharpening stone.
Great steel.great ease of use.holds up to it's intended task (skinning and game preparation)Well worth the price point. No hot spots in use .easy to sharpen with modern abrasives ( alumina and diamond)

Nice knife
Doesn’t hold an edge and it’s starting to rust.

Grip, shape and overall design is amazing
Great knife. Seams to hold edge fairly well and sharpen easily. Grip is soft and feels amazing. Has become my favorite skinning knife

I now have four KOA knives and each will be able to be handed down to next generation.
Razor sharp and feels good in the hand. Update of a classic knife with quality materials.
