This electric baseboard heater provides a perfect heating system for a basement room. My grandson uses this during the winter in his room, which is about 16' x 14' and situated on concrete. The room is on the lower level of a house in the woods. Needless to say, it gets very cold. This heater, although compact, works well enough to keep this room toasty without making you feel like you can't breathe. It is streamlined and attractive to suit any decor. A great value for the money and very efficient.

We have a very large master bath with a high ceiling that is difficult to heat especially in the winter. We had a larger size heater from another company for several years that worked just fine until it didn't. This is several inches smaller than our other one but the price was excellent so we gave it a try and we are VERY pleased with it so far! It is silent, has no flame so it is very safe, and the controls are much simpler to work than our old one. It has all we need - on/off, high/low power, and a dial for hotter/colder. Works for us seniors. It works by convection so there is no fan noise or movement yet you can feel the warm air circulating and it only take a short time to warm up our bathroom. I turn it on while up for my last nightly loo visit and by shower time, it's nice and toasty. Well worth our taking the chance on something smaller. And, quick delivery in a very sturdy box so no shipping damage.

We purchased this unit to place on the floor next to a birdcage, to provide a steady and warmer temperature for the birds than we typically enjoy in our home. Our main heat source is electric forced air. So far, after almost two months, this heater has performed perfectly at a low setting, and also provides enough heat in our living space to prevent the thermostat from triggering the heat for the rest of our home, so the bedrooms stay nice and cool. It's hard to tell yet whether it saves any money on the heating bill, but the birds are very happy. When it first arrived, my husband very carefully set it up in a room away from the birds to burn off any residues, starting at a low setting and moving upwards. We determined it to be safe for the birds (cockatiels) when we could no longer smell anything coming off of it, and they are fine. As it turns out, it is on the same circuit as one kitchen outlet and the hood and light above the stove so we've learned to turn it off if we are using the microwave, hood fan and light at the same time, especially the microwave, but that does not seem to be a fault with the heater. My only complaint, and why I would not award 5 stars, is that this heater is not actually silent. When it is heating, it produces a soft but very high pitched sound that some people including myself can hear, and is quite audible to birds especially when there is no background noise. They've grown used to it but it sometimes still takes me by surprise. But there is no fan noise and no odor, with steady heat.

Had the heater for a bedroom-sized office to replace the last similar one I've had for over 18-years. Heater works as expected.Pros: Simple, easy to use, and heats entire room without any noise.Cons: Power light is on as soon as unit is plugged in, regardless if knob setting is on. I would much rather see an indicator when the unit is plugged in AND turned on; plus a second indicator when the unit is actually cycling heat.I have the unit plugged into a wall timer to make sure it shut off after a desired period of time.Update: In month 20 (only a few operation months within a season), the off-on-on high switch was unmovable (stuck). Others have commented about this poor design issue. I contacted the company and a representative responded the same day. If it was within the 1-year warranty, they would have replaced it free of charge without my returning the old one as the unit was defective. Unfortunately, it was not within the warranty period and there was no extensions for any "design flaw".
