Good hood
Materials are fine, easy install and the hood opening lines up “level” for me. I ordered the cap also and it fits snugly. Silver matches the X100V silver very well. IMO it’s the best looking of the hoods out there but YMMV. Works seamlessly with my Glimmerglass 1. Not sure it makes that much difference but I feel better about camera durability with a hood on.

Go for that Leica look for your X100! Protect that lens! Use a filter too!
Works as advertised to give you that Leica look. Does it make a big difference? Probably.. the best use of this is to protect your single, non-replaceable lens on your shockingly expensive X100VI!!!I replaced the bezel ring with a bezel UV filter and this was not compatible with it.. I had to find a thread-in filter to use, which works perfectly. (49mm Tiffen GlimmerGlass for that extra dreamy look).Overall.. really like it. Worth every penny, it's easy to install, strong as an ox, protects everything. Perfect size/match.

Well this copy worked
I’ve owned one before and I had to tighten the hell out of to make sure it was on there . This time around it was cutting it . I couldn’t get it to line up at a point that it wasn’t gonna move in my camera bag . Maybe I’ll buy the og square hood at some point or I’ll just stick with what I have . Looks great tho . I’m just particular with my gear and especially my v so it has to be perfect . *****UPDATE : I just bought it again and for some reason this one lined up correctly and right better then the last time. So I will keep it .

Excellent materials and finish, but fussy to get it in the right position.
This is an extremely cool-looking lens hood when it is horizontal, but good luck getting it to screw in tightly and end up horizontal. The instructions above note that you don’t have to screw it in “until the end” but if you don’t, it swivels around loosely and if you do it can wind up off-horizontal and looks stupid. The trick is to keep trying different starting positions when you screw it in.Aside from this minor problem—which I suppose is endemic to square hoods—the materials and machining are high quality. The metal finish does not quite match my X100-T, but is very close. I have read that the F and V have a slightly different finishes, so it may match one or both of those perfectly.

It's a must-have addition to the X100vi
I bought a cheaper, plastic version of this that lasted about six months before it cracked. This is what I should have purchased to begin with. Solid construction, and I was able to attach my UV filter easily. No need to buy an adapter for your filter if you buy this. The cap... I've heard several say the felt inside wears away, but my sense is if you place it gently, it will last. So it's nice to have a lens cap again.

Lens Hood DOES NOT ALIGN Horizontally = Looks Ridiculous on Camera!
I really wanted to like this lens hood since it looks so good in the photos. However, once I received my X100 camera, I put on the lens hood and the screw mount (for the lens hood) keeps going about 90 degrees further than the horizontal alignment with the camera. It looks ridiculous, imagine someone wearing glasses that are tilted to one side = that's what the X100 looked like. I bought two of these and both had the same problem. One was worse than the other. Since the X100 was backordered, by the time I returned this product, I only got a partial refund.

Cool product, but red rubber ring pops off too easily
The product itself is pretty cool. It’s awesome that it comes w a filter ring so you don’t have to buy a separate one. But… the red rubber ring pops off so easily. Even though they give you an extra one, it’s so easy to lose. And you have to buy extra rubber rings if you lose both of them. Wish the rubber ring was just glued onto the adapter ring.

Metal, quality, easy to affix
I used this for my Fujifilm x100v. Followed the video on Amazon to install (minus the white gloves). No issues getting the correct alignment. Cap fits nicely over hood. Cannot attest to durability since I just got it. Now my overpriced x100v is one more step to full hipster awesomeness - sarcasm aside, it works great for the camera, and I really am enjoying the x100v (and I don't even have TikTok).
