Q: Can I connect a camcorder via hdmi out to stream live event recording?

Yes, you can provide any HDMI video source to the Ultra Stream via an HDMI connection and providing you have a suitable internet connection, you can stream that video source.

Q: Does this device work for livestream studio?

Livestream Studio has its own streaming engine in the software, so a hardware encoder would not be needed or used. This device is meant to connect to the HDMI output of a camera or video switcher.

Q: Can you connect to a WiFi hotspot on a phone and the Ethernet port simultaneously?

Yes. Each server location can have it's own connection type preferences.... from Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G USB device. It will also failover to the next available connection if primary is lost.

Q: How is the input lag?

Input lag? You mean via the loop-out? If you are talking about the loop-out then the only lag you are going to experience is from the device feeding the HDMI in. If you are talking about the encoded output then it depends on what settings you provide as with all encoders. But i think you mean if you plug a camera or game into the hdmi In and take the HDMI out and plug it into a TV then its no lag (unless you use a camera feed but the lag would be on the camera side, not the encoder side.
