WoundSeal Powder 4 Each (Pack of 2) - Wound Care First Aid for Cuts, Scrapes and Abrasions
About 10 yrs ago, the kitchen knife slipped and cut a thin sliver off the pad of my thumb. Went to intermediate care and the nurse applied silver nitrate to stop the bleeding. It stung badly...nearly peed in my pants...but it worked and was top off with 2 butterfly bandages with dabs of superglue so the bandages would hold for 4 days. About 2 years ago, I was cleaning the same knife with a dish brush, got careless and slice the side of my thumb. Th nurse cleaned and applied neosporin and butterfly bandage this. To save money from going to urgent care, I bought the WoundSeal powder and some butterfly bandages for emergencies. The brown powder came in 2 packages with 4 individual tubes each. Each tiny 2" tube is seal with foil. The caps have a spike at the end to puncture the foil. Well this time, a poptop can of chili did me in. While I was cleaning the bottom of the can, my finger went in too far and the sharp edge of the can sliced my index finger. At long last, I got to try out the powder.Clean your wound and dry off with a paper towel. Don't be concerned about removing all the blood because the powder have to come in contact with some blood to form a seal. Basically, all you have to do is very lightly tap the tube so the powder could fall on the wound...DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TUBE unless you want to spread the powder all over your sink. Once all area of the actual cut is cover, place a clean finger lughtly on the wound for at least 30 seconds for the wound to seal. Gently lift your finger and add more powder if you missed a spot and again hold it down for 30 seconds. To keep the cut from pulling apart, apply a butterfly bandage or two as needed. For abrasions, use a standard BandAid. Whatever you do, do not apply any pressure on the wound afterwards or you could bust the cut open. The wound is suppose to be waterproof after an hour...I decided to leave it dry the rest of the night. Here's the best part, the cut is painfree in the morning, even when I place some pressure on it. I highly recommend this product.

I Love this stuff and it works to stop bleeding
This works great, I am an industrial, commercial electrician and mechanic. I have cut myself many of times and it stops the embarrassment of bleeding all over when I get cut. It does slightly burn a little. I additionally use this with Neosporin which increases healing time significantly.
