really nice for daily use, makes shaving a breeze
overall i'm really satisfied with this head shaver. i haven't tried any others like this before and always wondered about em. now that i'm at a point in my life where my hair has thinned out and stopped growing on top of my head, i'd rather just keep myself completely shaved bald than look like a franciscan monk...so i've been using a regular razor, just a two blade with dollar shave club, and it's been such a hassle to shave that way and make sure i got all the spots around the back of my head... it's time consuming and the feel of the blade scraping on my skull gets old fast. so i've been lazy with it, just shaving about once a week just bc i hate doing it.now with this little guy here i can shave my head in the shower in just a few minutes and be confident that it got my whole head cleanly. so now i've worked it into my daily shower routine. personally i prefer to lather my head each time with some barbasol. i tried it dry once and never again, just didn't work for me, was a rough shave that way. i tried it with just water and it worked better but it was still rough to slide across my scalp, wasn't a smooth grip. lathering up my head first produces a nice smooth grip each time.i like that it came with so many attachments too. and a neat bonus is the precision popup razor for detail if you need it. but honestly i don't really use those things (the nose trimmer is awkward to use bc it's like holding a computer mouse up to your face, not really a well shaped device for that purpose). it's nice to have them available though.worth noting there are some offbrand replacement shaver heads for this available which are essentially identical and work just fine.oh, also the battery life has been really nice, lasts over a week on a single charge (that's being used only a few minutes a day on my part). i've just started a habit though of charging it each weekend. i don't really feel like exhausting it completely just to see what the battery life is. i don't really care at this point, i love this thing.

Works well!
Such an awesome device. Works well. Painless hair removal. Skin is left soft and smooth. Head truly does pivot to give you the closest shave. Charges quickly, and maintains charge for months. Easy to clean. Works on face and legs as well. I love mine.

I recommend this item, and it worked great, UNTIL .........
I bought this item on May 16, 2024. It came a day or so later. It worked great. I got about 65 uses out of it and never had a problem. It gave terrific hair cuts, no nicks, and it had a very long battery life.THEN, However, yesterday, the darn thing went on all by itself. I couldn't get it to turn off. After a few minutes it did stop. Then about an hour later it went on again all by itself. I could not turn the darn thing off. Finally, it ran out of power and stopped. ( And man, this shaver has a long battery life !!) I realize that this sounds a bit eerie and unlikely, but it's the absolute truth. It's like one of those low budget horror movies wherein appliances get possessed and take on a life of their own.Otherwise, it's a great product and will probably get a new one. I did get a lot of use out of it - I shave my head every 5 days - but I am a bit disappointed that it went haywire on me. On balance I definitely recommend this shaver, and will probably get another one. After all, it's a heck of a lot cheaper and more convenient to use a great shaver like the Freebird shaver than to go to a barber shop every 5 days. I just wish it hadn't become demon possessed.

Works well, piece broke already…
I have had this for about a month now. Cuts well and gets the job done for a close tight haircut. If your hair is short it will take about 5 minutes to recut everything. You will need to clean half way through your cut as it doesn’t hold much hair. It is quite challenging opening the razor covers in order to clean out the hair. You have to pinch hard and pull up on each individual cover to release the tabs holding them down. As expected the cheap plastic holding the covers on broke already on one of my razor covers. I will be returning or having to buy new blades entirely. The small additional clippers feature is practically useless and can barely cut hair. The additional bells and whistles it comes with are nice additions to the shaver package. 3 Star due to this breaking a month in already.

Good for a close shave.
I’m in my mid-30s and have been dealing with hair loss since my mid-20s. I hate it. I hate the way my hair looks being all thin and missing-like. So, I thought I’d just start shaving it. Like I’d rather be totally bald than bald-ish. So I got this thing, trimmed the length down using Wahl clippers and then shaved it bald with the Freebird. It works well. It makes for a very close and smooth shave with enough passes. I like to shave my head while I’m watching TV. It’s noisy, but not so noisy I can’t hear the TV. It also does a great job about capturing the hair you shave. It doesn’t make a mess everywhere, and it’s very easy to clean. I rinse the head really well after I’m done shaving, and after maybe a weak, I put the entire head in a ball jar with a bit of rubbing alcohol and give it a good shake. Not sure if that’s recommended but it’s what I do. Don’t forget to clean under the center blade. It twists off and is separate from the other blades.

1 year later and still going strong - replacement blades are even better and more durable
I purchased this last Feb 2024 and very happy with the shaver. I shave my head and face with this shaver and no issues. The battery lasts about 2 weeks before the low batter red light starts to flash, using this on average for 2 to 3 minutes a day. Was very surprised on how close of a shave I can get from this shaver and accidently broke the blade attachment and ordered the Freebird replacement blades 3 pack. The replacement blades are actually made much more durable and stronger. For the price, the performance and durability very pleased using this product and would purchase another one in the future.
