Hello! Thank you for your email! This would be an awesome game for "free time" for your students. One game takes approximately 5-10 minutes. As the challenges get harder (expert level), game may take about 10-15.

Q: My son is turning 6 and pretty good at logic/puzzle things. Would you recommend this set or the JR one?

My son is 5 1/2 and LOVES this game. (I had the same internal debate.) He is very smart, but has mastered the beginner, intermediate, and is currently working on the advanced challenges. I would say for a kid who loves puzzles, this would be good.

I think this set would be too difficult for a 3 yr. old. I haven't seen the Jr. set, but believe that would be a better choice for now. It is recommended for ages 5-15, so it should be challenging. Setting up the game as the cards show is quite a learning process in itself. You may need to help actually playing the game in the beginning. It is a great game and is sure to be enjoyed, if not now, later.

All of my grand kids 5-10 play the regular version and love it. Boys and girls. Individually and cooperatively. I will be buying some other versions, but not the Jr. They start with the easiest puzzles and work their way through them. What they learn in one helps with the next. Hope that helps!
