You should be able to. I bought the same pump and a pressure switch but have yet to install it. It's pretty basic and I don't see a problem. Ken

Q: Does it have enough pressure to fill a water tank installed on a second floor roof?

The specifications state it has a 115 foot dynamic head, so it should be able to push the water that high. Keep in mind the higher you push the water the slower it will pump and this pump needs to run often to keep the impeller from locking up.
