How long are these, uninflated ?!

They are about 6-7 inches uninflated

Can children inflate balloons by themselves?

Yes. The pump is easy to use for all ages (obviously within reason). The only difficulty for kiddos is tying the balloon themselves once inflated.

What does the kit include?Does rhe pump work well?

I got a double pack. Each pack had the balloons, a plastic finger guard to help tie the balloons and the double action pump. One pump worked great but the other one had a damaged tip that would snag and tear the balloons.
