I like the thin edge frame to help hold tile in place if you are using the tile in drain side. If not, you have the option to flip it and use the metal finish side which also has a very modern look. It’s sturdier and catches hair. I honestly like these better than the tile in schluter kerdi drains because the schluter tile in drains have no edges and it’s hard to get the tile to stay in place.

The gold shower drain was the perfect size for a medium size shower. I was pleased with with my purchase.

The product exhibits superior build quality, functionality, and design. When integrating with a Schluter shower pan, ensure the pan is countersunk beforehand; otherwise, the height will be incompatible with the Schluter system.

This was not easy to install. If I had put it in at the time I laid the tile, it would have been much easier, but I ended up pulling more plumbing out of the drain than I had wanted to and cracked some tile along the way. A lot of people have complained about this being difficult to clean due to the metal rod across the top, so I just cut that off and ... problem solved. I left enough to still be able to grab onto it, but it makes it easy to clean. I do like the look of it, but would rather the company logo not be on the top. (Just a minor, OCD complaint). Overall, it's a good purchase.
