Great product! I have been using a small metal shaving bowl for years and finally figured I would try out something else. This bowl works so much better! I use much less soap and can get a lather going very easily.

Great little shave bowl, easy to hold & good for starter sets.Will last many years if not dropped.

First of all, compared to similar products on the market, the price makes this a very good value. If you know what you doing, and use a good quality soap or cream, it works up a great lather in a short period of time. The unglazed thumb patch is a good idea in theory, but unfortunately, unless you have gorilla fingers it's hard for those of us with smaller hands to get a good grip, and risk dropping the bowel. It would have been much better if they had also left an unglazed ring around the lower portion of the bowel to allow for a better grip. However, if you're careful and keep it on the sink, it works just fine.All-in-all, I would recommend this product; the design builds a great lather.Hope this helps--happy shaving!

Great size and attractive.

I was using a small plastic shaving bowl for three years and it never worked very well. I saw this bowl and thought I would give it a try. Man what a difference! Being a bigger bowl I can get more brush movement when creating the lather. The ridges on the bottom of the bowl really help to build the lather up and create a lot of bubbles. I heat the bowl by running hot water in it before starting and I get a perfect lather every time.

I’ve had this bowl for over a year now and granted, yes, it’s my first one, but I couldn’t imagine an easier way to build a lather. The rings inside make it almost effortless. Just remember to leave the right amount of water in your brush to really whip it up!

This lather bowl works perfect and holds heat for a bit if you warm it up prior to lathering up your shave cream or shave soap. It is ceramic so you’ll need to be careful not to drop it.
