I think this is quite tasteles, a Western man apparently hitting on a Chinese woman, suggesting they go to her place. The man asks the woman where does she want to eat and the woman says my place after they just met... Chapter six specifically clarifies the woman is "young"; the woman asks where would you like to eat, the man says, your place...It is quite repetitive and out of context. Instead of there being a logical conversation, you just repeat artificial sentences with mutually exclusive meanings. You are asked to learn hard words in the beginning that you won't need, like where is "College Street" or "Long Peace Road", why not just where is the super market or train station? Why "my place" and not "restaurant"?It is not too well designed, but I would still recommend it, just because I do not know any better way. You will learn, but you will be annoyed and learn.It is best to use Pimsleur without any/much background, otherwise you will be annoyed at bein asked to repeat 15 times words you already know. The pace is incredibly slow, and yet you cannot skip chapters because each one includes some new words, which will be used in the next chapters.
