Best expansion yet
I played this with three people and the two other expansions, Leaders and Cities. I think it's the best expansion yet. Not too difficult to learn, it adds a complexity that I really enjoyed. Naval battles, more victory points, and islands which reveal more items. Really love this expansion!!!

Cool but complicated
It's a very cool and interesting expansion, it's hard to follow and make the right moves at first but it's makes the base game more challenging and fun.I don't think it's a good idea to travel with it as it has a lot of small parts that can get lost.Have fun!

Great expansion for a game I really love.
The media could not be loaded. I wouldn't write a game review here but as for the packaging the game came in flawless shape and was put in huge wrappers inside a carton box

This is my favorite expansion yet for 7 wonders
My friends and I have been playing 7 wonders for at least 10 years, and have been slowly adding expansions to the base game. This is my favorite yet. It adds trade and military conflict between people you don't sit next to, as well as an additional victory point gaining mechanism through the armada boards. Very quick to figure out the new rules, and it worked well combined with the Leaders and Cities expansions too. Adding all of those expansions in makes a game with 6-7 people last about 2.5-3 hours, though we're still learning all of the cards and might get faster. Beware your table will start to feel small with all of the additional cards.

Nice add-on for the base game - with some defect issues
First off, this is an ADD-ON (expansion) for the 7 Wonders base game and the base game is REQUIRED. You cannot play this game without also having the base game.Overall I like this add-on. It's got additional elements that add to the strategy of the base game.Note: For EACH add-on, the gameplay will take a little longer than the base game (which is supposed to be about 30 mins of playing) since it adds 1 more card to each Era, and thus one more round of card selection, etc... Also the additional elements of the Armadas themselves (the boats) also adds additional time to the game. So if you use this expansion with the Leaders expansion and the Cities Expansion those two will each add another round as well, for 3 additional rounds over the base game. Keep that in mind if you are looking for a short game. For Armada (newest edition - which is THIS one, as of this writing) the Era 1 cards were "defective" in that the color shade on the "top" of the cards (the side you see when you're passing them out so that you won't know which specific cards each person gets) did NOT match the color shade of the base game or the other expansions I have (Leaders and Cities), ALL of which are also the newest editions. This is a problem. Because it means you can tell when someone has cards specifically related to this expansion and may affect game play if others pay attention enough.I contacted Repos about this and their advice was to return it for another. I haven't received my replacement copy yet, but I am hoping the new one is the correct color. I'm not too optimistic however, as this color defect will obviously impact an entire "printing" of the game and not just a single game package. I have included a photo of the Armada cards (bottom cards) as compared to the base (and other expansions - they are the top cards) so you can see the difference in color shade. I will post an update after I receive my replacement.Update: the replacement I received is also defective with the same color issue. The production run of the defective colors is: LU2020R4 (see photo).
