It was the perfect gift for the end of the year.
The media could not be loaded. It was the perfect gift for the end of the year. Easy to assemble and use, and you can save it to reuse it. It's perfect for roasting pork whenever you want. I recommend it for the end of the year. It's very good, especially for the Cuban people

I would use 30-40lbs max game. Don't hold the spit by the motor. Hang game up first to prepare.
It was good enough to work. The spit is two half's bolted together. Pretty sturdy, but difficult to pass the middle through the animal. The motor casing is fragile and came off at the bottom, which immediately messed up the wiring. If you hold the on/off switch without the on/off switch touching the metal casing it will shock you. This includes touching it to turn it off and on. Placing the on/off switch back in the casing after plugging the wires back in is nearly impossible. The workaround is to hold it against the casing, then plug it in, then turn it on. See pics below. The posts are kind of weak. They are strong enough to hold the spit up, but tend to bend outwards and drop it. We attached steel wire between the posts to fix this. See pics velow. Overall a decent spit. Just a pain to set up with all the bolts. It's frustrating to turn a bolt stuck between the head and the leg like that. The middle bolts for the legs were a real pita. Also the attachments for the leg holders and the skewers that hold it on have to be slid on before the animal goes on. We wound up just using steel wire. The spine hooks work well though. See pics below. The wheels are nice for moving around, but the whole thing is wiggly when wrestling an animal onto it.

solid made and did not disappoint
Manufactured from what looks to be thick steel. I was worried about the motor but it worked reliably and without laboring, turning a 44 pound pig for 7 hours over a large fire bowl. The size worked well and I think it could also handle up to three 20 pound Turkeys. Instructions for assembly are ok, I used my own tools for assembly and not the wimpy enclosed wrench. One screw was missing which was annoying but ease to replace. The spit gets inserted in the motor and secured using a screw, which can be a bit challenging when it's fully loaded. So having an extra pair of hands is a good idea. Also make sure to secure the stands securely in the ground and weigh them down with cinder blocks or sandbags because the spit can slide out of the stand that does not have the motor. Finally, I suggest to use some steel plates or cinder blocks to deflect the heat on the spit. Would buy again and hoping that the motor will last for many more bbqs.

It works
Used this for a 50-60 pounder. It was too big to put the legs in the braces but what I did do was pick up some galvanized plumbing strap and used that and some nuts and bolts to secure the hog to the leg braces. I was a little worried that the motor would struggle but 10 straight hours with no issues. Solid stainless steel parts and construction.

Not sturdy and bad choice for my bussiness
At first I thought I received a wrong item because of the packaging versus to the size that I am expecting is way different. So I contacted the seller and they said that it is the right one and I tried assembling it. The stainless is so thin and the it’s too lite and spit is composed of 2 pieces that need to be connected with thr screw. Since I am roasting pork belly, when I am pushing in the pork belly the screw since it’s big mess up the filling of my pork and when I need to tale it out too. Another thing is the charcoal tray, it’s not that wide to put the charcoal and not enough to the length too. It’s a waste for me, I thought it’s an addition to my tools in my bussiness.

Exactly what my husband wanted!
The kids and I got this for my husband’s birthday. He enjoys cooking over a fire, so this was perfect. It is very sturdy and built well. My husband kept commenting how impressed he was. We have only used it once so far to cook beef tenderloin and it worked perfectly. We ended up using wire to secure the meat to the rotisserie, because the design is meant for larger things like a pig and we didn’t want the meat to fall off. The results were amazing and everyone said it was the best steak they have ever had. I recommend this product, it made a great gift!

Meh
Assembling this roaster was NOT easy and very frustrating! We also had to tap on the motor at times for it to work. It did the job but please review and rewrite your instructions!
