Excellent Caliper
Very well made, easy to add battery, unlike other electronic calipers that have a battery compartment that is almost inaccessible. Readings are reproducible each time and agree with my other measuring devices. Very good product for the price.

Always flicker.
I love Starrett tools... but this thing was a waste of money. Screen always flickers, I've changed battery's, bent contacts for tighter fit, ext. It also feels bad for the price, just cheap feeling, not as smooth as I'd expect for the money.Only plus is that checking its readings with a mic it's been dead nuts accurate.

Cheap Chinese tool
I bought this thinking “hey, Starrett is an old American company known for quality.” Skip to today, the box says “Made In China.” Might as well say they have no pride in their product on the box. Opening the package greets you with an inspection certificate with Chinese characters and a tool that is gritty and hard to slide. If I wanted half baked Chinese crap, I would have saved my 300 dollars and went to Harbor Freight.
