Stunning Finish After Dialing It In!
After some initial tweaking with my printer settings, this GIANTARM Silk Metallic Silver PLA delivered amazing results! The finish is super smooth and shiny — it really has that metallic silk look that makes prints pop. Perfect for display models, decorative pieces, or anything where aesthetics matter. The filament was well-packaged (vacuum sealed with desiccant), and I didn’t experience any tangles or feed issues during printing. Dimensional accuracy was consistent, and it printed cleanly with no clogging or stringing once I got it dialed in.If you’re looking for that eye-catching, polished finish, this is a fantastic choice. Definitely ordering more from this brand!

Wonderful color and print quality.
Fantastic color, that silver was just the right shine and hue. The silver laid down nice and smooth in my x1c at the generic PLA settings. There was no warping, Normally I dry my filament before a print but to test the out of the bag experience I ran it and found no difference from an earlier dried roll of this same brand. 5 stars for sure.

Doesn't retract properly in Creality K2 Plus CMS, otherwise it's a very printable filament.
This filament prints very nicely. Not knowing anything about this brand, I took the chance, and I wasn't disappointed in how it looked or printed on my single color printers. On the other hand, I recently purchased a Creality K2 Plus, and while it still prints great, there is something wrong with the spool that makes it not retract in the CMS. I have all sorts of other filament, and I have had no other issues with feeding and retracting. I've used plastic spools, cardboard spools, and none of the others have issues. I tried it in all 4 slots in the CMS, with the same results. I tried several other filaments, thinking that it might be that there is something that changed with the CMS, and all other filaments I tried retracted properly. Obviously the edges of the spool were not grippy enough against the silicon rollers in the CMS, so I took a file to the edges of the spool to see if making it rougher might help, and that still didn't work. It is possible that making it smoother could help, but beyond the fact that I don't know how I would do that, it's too late now, after taking the file to it.I don't know what the cause of the problem is, but I have relegated this filament to only printing single colors on the K2, but I still have to manually spool up the retracted filament at the end.

Very Nice "Goldlike Silky Sheen"
Filament was easy to use. It came nicely vacuum packed and wound nicely wound on the spool.I did have to use an adapter that I had previously printed to allow the spool to fit on my BambuLabs AMS lite. The Filament printed really well and has a very "goldlike" sheen to it. There was good adhesion on my plate without having to use anything.I printed at 220° with the bed at 55° on a CryoGrip Glacier bed. There were no stringing or clumping issues during my printing. I was able to print right out of the box without drying and had no issues. The color and sheen were spot on and had a few people say how it was a beautiful Gold Color. I was impressed and will try other colors soon.

Love this filament. BUY IT!!!
This was my first time buying rainbow filament, but definitely not my last, especially from Giantarm! The filament just works without any tweaking in bambu studio using the regular generic pla settings. The filament prints smooth, is easy to use, and the color changes are really cool. I didn't experience any tangles or breaks like I have with other filament brands. My only critique is that the roll doesn't fit on the A1 AMS Lite, but that's easy to rectify by printing out one of the many adaptors out there.I highly recommend Giantarm filament and will be buying more for myself soon!

Beautiful sheen, might be one of my new favorite silk PLA’s
I’m very impressed with this filament! Being a 3D print and prototype small business owner, I’ve printed literally hundreds of spools of filament on a half dozen different kinds of printers. This silk PLA is one of my favorite silks I’ve printed so far.Usually I print in Overture silk gold, as it’s been the most “gold” color I’ve found. I saw the price on this stuff - it’s worth giving a shot. And I’m glad I got it!It’s very reasonably priced, and the print turned out beautifully. It has an excellent sheen and is more gold than most I’ve used. It’s incredibly similar in color to Overture silk gold, but at a lower price. Definitely recommend. I will buy again, I’m sure.

Hard to work with
The silver metallic silk filament looks absolutely beautiful when it comes out right, but is very difficult to work with. You have to slow the print way down, lower fan speed and increase nozzle temperature. I’m printing at 235 degrees.Even when you do everything right it’s prone to clogging and is not as strong as typical PLA. Every imperfection is very noticeable on silk PLA. It’s good for certain statues and figurines, but I would not use it for anything that requires any strength at all.Honestly I don’t think I’d buy it again, not because of the brand, but because of how weak all metallic silk PLA tends to be. It’s not beginner friendly.
