Are the straps adjustable?

Yes, both top and bottom straps are adjustable.

How long are the bottom straps? Will it fit my VW polo?

The bottom strap will adjust to about 44 inches…but you could easily add a piece of 1 inch elastic to make it fit almost anything. It really works for a variety of items. ( You could also apply Velcro to the back of organizer and car seat to stabilize it).

How long is the bottom strap? I drive a truck and am worried about it not fitting.
