I bought this for my balding husband, and we’ve both been pleasantly surprised by how well it works. His hair is super fine and thinning on top, but after using this, it actually looks fuller and has way more body. Obviously it’s not a hair growth treatment, but it really helps give the appearance of thicker, healthier hair.The scent is clean and fresh without being overpowering, and I love how long it lingers. The formula is lightweight, so it doesn’t leave any buildup or weigh his hair down, which is super important when you’re working with thinner strands. The shampoo lathers up really nicely and feels high quality — not watered down or cheap like some volumizing shampoos we’ve tried.It’s also helped with itchiness. His scalp used to get dry and irritated with other shampoos, but this one keeps it hydrated and comfortable. No flakes, no tight feeling, just soft and clean hair that looks way better.Honestly, for the price and quality, it’s totally worth it. He feels more confident, and his hair looks great. This brand has been one of the best for many years, all products, not just shampoo. This leaves hair clean, soft & provides extra body to limp or thinning hair. The price is right, much more feasible than $20 shampoo for less product just because it is new. Stick with the old stuff, it works better.

I have used this product for years and my hairdresser suggested that I combine it with Re-Works or Extra Body Sculpting Gel for a fuller look. I read the reviews that said this shampoo doesn’t lather and although it doesn’t lather on the first try, if you rinse your hair and put a tiny amount on for a second wash it lathers really well. The new bottle I ordered lathers like crazy the first time so I’m guessing they heard the complaints and changed the formula? My routine is to shampoo my hair and when I get out and my hair is still damp I take either Re-works which is a white cream or the clear Extra Body Sculpting Gel and work it through my hair before blow drying on low. It only takes a small amount for my short hair and it gives my gray hair extra body, fullness and shine that lasts, without looking heavy or flaky. This works for the shampoo that doesn’t lather and the new Paul Mitchell shampoo I just ordered.

This is OK shampoo I just gotta travel size to try sometimes I just switch out my shampoos. I have really fine thin hair so I use nioxin, but I’d like to add a little bit of other kind of shampoo with it so this is fine.

Typically I buy "the cheap stuff," but I am glad I didn't do that this time. This shampoo smells great, is body building, and rinses out easily.

For a high end shampoo, this wasn’t the best. It doesn’t do a great job of cleansing your hair especially if it’s super dirty. I find myself using a lot of the product just to get it to truly cleanse my hair. As for volume, it does a great job and the shine is nice too. I feel like any shampoo—whether it states it’s clarifying or not— should do a thorough job of actually cleaning your hair. Hair softness isn’t up to par either with other top leading brands.

Great stuff! I have very fine straight hair and this adds good body.
