🔧 Elevate Your Drilling Game with Style!
The Drill America D/A29J-CO-PC 29 Piece M42 Cobalt Drill Bit Set is a premium collection designed for professionals who demand precision and durability. With sizes ranging from 1/16" to 1/2" in 1/64" increments, these cobalt drill bits are engineered to tackle tough materials like stainless steel and titanium. The gold oxide finish enhances performance and wear resistance, while the round shank design ensures compatibility with various tool holding systems. Manufactured to Aerospace Standard 907, this set not only meets but exceeds expectations in high-speed drilling applications.

Sharp & durable
Great bits for hard metals and 135 degree point makes the need for a center punch obsolete. Bits will definitely last long if you use cutting oil and the appropriate drill speed. Just wish they had a hex or square shank for no slippage in a chuck.

Excellent Set. Always throw nice chips or wire (depending on substrate).
Many people don't realize, but drill bits are meant to operate at different speeds, depending upon the material being drilled. I use these primarily in my drill press and adjust the belts as required for the correct RPM. I use cutting oil on metal. These always get the job done except...Recently, I had been using my portable hammer drill with hammer bits, and left it in hammer position. When I picked up the drill to drill a set screw out of a brake rotor, I picked up and mounted the 5/32". It is the correct diameter for one of the easy outs. Set the tip, pulled the trigger, and rat-a-tat-a-tat. I released the trigger. The drill was still set where I had left it. The tip edge was chipped and ruined. I used the next smaller (9/64) to finish the hole, on standard drill mode, and the fine cut wires from the drilling immediately started to pour from the sides of the bit.I contacted Drill America to inquire about the warranty, which they stated did not exist. I even went as far as to say it was of no fault of their manufacturing, but my bone-headed maneuver. The rep said, even though they had no warranty against such stupid activity (my words, not theirs) that they would be happy to send me a replacement. It arrived a few days later at no cost.If you use these at the proper speed with the proper equipment, and proper lubrication, they will last for a long time. This is true of all bits, but, especially expensive ones.

These seem like a great set
I got the 29 piece set, all the bits say USA on them. I'm sure I'll have lots to test them on soon.

Genuine cobalt-alloy drills
Really got fed up with all the counterfeits that claim to be cobalt but are just HSS at best. These are the real deal, great for drilling mild steel.

Buyers Please Beware
I ordered two of these drill indices, one is the M35 and the other is the M42.I was intending to use the M35 drill bits for everyday use and was intending to keep the M42 for drilling into mild steel. These arrived in separate shipping parcels and once unwrapped and placed next to each other they appear absolutely identical with the exception of the paper nomenclature description tags. There is no identifying print, specification labeling, or markings on either of the drill index containers except the gold stickers and the paper label.Typically, with most 29-piece drill indices, the drill bits are in different uniform lengths but some of the drill bits in these sets are surprisingly un-uniform, wherein the largest 1/2-inch bit is shorter than adjacent smaller diameter drill bits. Each columellar drill index is also supposed to have an o-ring to seal out moisture and neither of the two which I received contains an o-ring.Overall, this appears to be an Untrustworthy Drill Index manufactured in China from un-substantiated and un-specified materials based upon the manufacturer's design packaging.I am opting to return both of these to Amazon and to purchase something of higher quality from another manufacturer.

Very well built. Works well with a Rapidrill attachment!
So I got these, they seemed a bit expensive but I had high hopes. They did not disappoint! I drilled 20 holes in a 1/2 inch piece of steel and there seems to be not much wear...besides a small chip on the tip (user error). They work much better with drill oil, a pilot hole and a mobile drill press, shout out Rapidrill!
