Scalextric Speed Supreme GT vs. LMP 1:32 Slot Car Race Track Set C1420T

This track is a lot of fun, esp for first timers. Bought it for Christmas 2020 for my 8 & 6 yr old sons. They love it. The track has a relatively small layout with wider lanes but it's incredibly easy to assemble. The cars are a bit larger, heavier & more durable than most slot car tracks. Both controls are easily calibrated for faster or slower max speeds - the faster the setting, the more skill it takes to keep the car from flying off the track but, when they do, they don't get destroyed in the process. Plugs into the wall so no batteries needed. All of this is why this track is a great starter track. Yes, the little brush/braids underneath the cars wear out (depending on how much they're used) but replacements are cheap & super easy to install. My kids quickly break pretty much every toy but we're a month into 2021 now with tons of use & this thing still works great. Highly recommended for the younger kids.

The set arrived in great condition. I checked the contents and I am very happy with the look of the Slot Cars. I bought this set as an extension to my other track. The price is right! For the price of 2 Slot Cars I got the whole set. Now I have extra track, controllers, power pack and cars. Thanks!

Bought to play with my 3 yo grandson. Easy setup and no wrecks not on level 4. Level 1 doesn’t work but level 2 and 3 car doesn’t wreck. Had two straight days playing and he loves it.

This slot car track set brings back a lot of memories. As a kid, I always wanted one. However, I had friends and family members who did, and I loved going to their houses to race. I jumped on this set when it was offered to me. It is a bit larger than the scale I grew up playing. I got it with the hope that someday when my kids were older, we could set it up and have some fun like I remember.Now that my kids are older, we've finally started racing. For the most part, the cars stay on track, but not always. The track itself stays together well. It's been a fun, but my kids get bored rather quickly. I can't blame them though, they have too many cooler toys and electronics these days and would rather race on Mario Kart. To be honest, even I started to lose interest after a while. Most toys nowadays are far more interactive and engaging. For instance, I have an RC race track in my basement for racing 1/76 scale RC cars. My kids absolutely love it because they can steer the cars. They have full control over the cars, which is the complete opposite of the slot cars.Overall, the kit operates well, and it's pretty much how I remember it as a kid. Unfortunately, technology has far surpassed it, and it's not as appealing as it once was.

You cannot get a better track than this one. The cars are super fast and the speed adjustment makes it easy for the little ones to enjoy without the cars flying off every lap. I am ordering more track as well!

My son and I really love playing with this set. However, one of the controllers broke almost immediately and the cars are a challenge to keep in the track.

The media could not be loaded. Very fun. Cars stay on track. The variable speed settings are great to accommodate different skill levels/ages. Cool. So fast.

I loved my Scalextric sets some 35 years ago! Seeing this took me back. Only they made it so much better!The track easily snaps together, and easily pulls apart. But it doesn't fall apart.The cars now have magnets that pull them down to the track. They can still leave the track but you can go really fast around the corners now!The controllers work much better than the ones of my youth. And these ones don't spark!Sadly, the cars still have the brushes that go against the track. Other slot racers used metal, Scalextric use metal brushes. Which need replacing. So they have more repeat sales, but I do not like that.This is a lot of fun though. Racing cars with your kids (or your friends and neighbors! No one is too old for Scalextric!!) is a great source of entertainment that does not need a screen!
