Can a 55 gallon tank fit on this? I have a water dragon and need to find a stand for the tank

Umm... 55 gallons of water is over 440 pounds and that does not even include the tank. I think if you try to imagine two or three grown adults standing on this table (or any table) you will get your answer. I think you need something with steel legs or at least really sturdy hardwood (like solid oak, cherry, etc.). Take a look at stands designed specifically for aquarium tanks, see what they are made of, and go from there. Good luck!

It states that the assembled length is 55 inches. Can you confirm if it is in fact 48 inches long when assembled?

I just took out the measuring tape and measured mine...it is in fact 48 inches when assembled. Hope this helps you out. PS, great table, I love mine!

I am not really sure but I would not. It's sturdy but 55lbs is a lot. I can ask my husband in the morning and send you another response. I just use it for an accent table in the foyer

Be Warned!!!

I went through quite the adventure trying to get this table so I'll break it up into two parts:When I first ordered the table, I bought it "Used - Like New" off Amazon for about $20 cheaper than the brand new version. It wasn't until after I had started putting the table together that I realized I was missing two out of the five whole parts needed to build it!!! I tried contacting the company but they said because I bought it as Amazon's "Used" option they couldn't send me the missing pieces. Eventually, after talking to two different Amazon tech support employees, I just ended up returning the table and buying another one brand new.Once the brand new option arrived, everything was perfect. It's easy to put together, sturdy, looks amazing in my space, and the perfect addition to my college apartment. However, for roughly $100 it's a little pricey considering it's basically five black wooden planks and some screws.The only reason I am taking off a star is because of the hassle I had to go through to get the table with all of its parts. I understand though that it wasn't the company's fault and it was probably just an accident on Amazon's side. In all, I'm just happy to have my new table and my advice would be to NOT purchase a "Used" option.

Better than expected

Had this table about a month. The quality is actually better than I imagined. Putting it together was pretty straightforward. Took me about 15-20 minutes to do by myself. Purchased this to use as an entryway table and fits that purpose well. Length and width are perfect to hold my keys and random items I need while not impeding on the hallway space.

Don't waste your money. I've had this for 3-4 months and I went to move it the other day and pulled it out to move it. It began to fall apart as it is so poorly made/constructed. I assembled it correctly, but it doesn't hold up to small movements. I'm not out $100 as its past the return period. No, I don't want a replacement either. Just junk.
