20 Pack, 16/5 Inch Dia, Ecofriendly Plant Stakes, Garden Stakes, Green (5/16 ')

I hate rabbits, during the brutal cold Wisconsin winter these little… beasts… viciously attack my evergreens as well as my deciduous bushes taking off every branch up to a height of about 18 inches; and then, to add insult to injury, they gnaw the bark off of the trunk sometimes completely ringing the trunk, thereby killing the plant. I use these ecostakes in conjunction with green vinyl coated wire fencing to protect my plants. The combination of green stakes and green coated fencing holds these little fiends at bay and enables plants to survive the winter without unduly detracting the appearance of my ornamentals.Unfortunately, these little ravenous critters switch to other plants and attack them without remorse, so I have needed to buy more fencing and more stakes to avoid the total denudation of every unprotected portion of my yard. In Wisconsin, the DNR will vigorously persecute any attempts to actively control pestiferous wildlife, so my only choice is a passive defense. These stakes are an important component in that defense of my ornamental shrubs from ravenous rabbits. I hope they all starve to death next winter. I'm going to do my best to see that they don't feed in my yard.

The 1/2” rods are sturdy. Be careful with the cut (flat) end. I used vinyl end caps to protect my hands from fiberglass splinters.

These are holding up well for us and our chickens. We live in a suburban/non forested area, so not many predators at all during the day. It wouldn’t keep much out, but it does keep our girls in! So far the stakes have withstood about 30-50 mph wind gusts and they have a lot of give. It’s not going to be the straightest fence with this product — it will blow around a bit - but with some string or twisters to pin them to the plastic fencing, it works like a charm. Great product and I’m maybe going to order more soon to expand their fencing area!

At 1/4 inch diameter it provides some support and they are better than the cheap plastic coated steel tube. 1/2 inch would be much better.

I used these to secure plant fabric protector to so I can keep my sago palms from burning in the summer. I had to figure out a creative way to keep the fabric on the stake because the grommets on the fabric were substantially bigger than the diameter of the stake. Using black electrical tape and a plumbing part I figured out something but it will be interesting to see if these stakes hold up during the winds I get in the summer months. Here is it and summer is over. My plants did survive. The stakes needed to be a little bit longer because the tips of the plants did get a bit damaged. But on a good note, the comany contacted me and offer a fair resolution because the fabric on a couple of the cloths did tear but I would probably order these again next summer.

This is the second time I purchased these Ecostakes from Amazon. We live in the country and have to protect our young trees, shrubs and plants from all the wildlife. These stakes do a great job supporting the cages we use. Highly recommend these.

Good quality product, were much cheaper in the past but haven’t found a better replacement

The deer walked right through my nylon fencing with bamboo stakes. These stakes are super strong and are holding up just as I expected them to.
