Perfect for a very specific user, but not at full price
Pros:Lightweight (23lb) compared to many other limited range/entry level scooters (33lbs)Shorter, so fits in a Miata trunk which no other adult Segway model did.Compact, even the handlebars fold down so it transports well on crowded train, even in front of you while sitting if necessary.Easy to roll like a dolly when folded. One click switch to fold/unfold is awesome.Rear fender step to power on/off is awesome.Kind of a gimmick but I use it - the packaging doubles as a stand.Cons:Realistically 5.5 mile range is very limitingTop speed maxes at 12mph which is all you'd want to do on these solid tiny tires.Requires smooth uncracked surface or ride is really rough.Almost unusable on moderate hills.Small scooter so over six foot tall people probably shouldn't consider.Super cool lighting display option to choose any color (go purple!) is only effective if you connect to the app every ride otherwise it is default red.The cons are the result of this being a very specific purpose built scooter. If you have a very predictable scooter commute and don't need much more than 5 miles of range per trip (or have a charger at your destination), your scooter path is flat and well paved but wouldn't be safe at faster than 12mph, your commute involves a crowded train AND a compact two seat car with a child seat and a tiny trunk, AND you can get this on sale or used for no more than $250 you'll be very pleased with the purchase.Otherwise, and especially if space isn't as big a consideration, just get a slightly larger heavier but more comfortable scooter (pneumatic tires) with a much better range and a little better top speed for the 3-400 dollar range.I use the T15 for my driving/scooting/train work commute where I also charge at work, but have a separate larger scooter (Segway F35) for more unpredictable terrain and/or longer rides.Kudos to the designers though, who took a very specific and limiting brief and knocked it out of the park. I find delight in objects that are purpose built rather than built to appeal to the largest possible audience (see the Miata). Too bad there isn't a big enough audience for this (or almost any audience at full price) but at least it existed for a bit. And as batteries get better, I hope what they found in creating the T15 informs design decisions of future models.

Stop selling defective scooter!
The media could not be loaded. I am extremely disappointed with this seller. This scooter fails to charge or turn on, and this issue has occurred with another Air T15 that I purchased several months ago. It has been a persistent problem, and I am appalled that the seller is not taking any action to address or prevent such issues. My frustration is primarily directed towards this seller. I reached out to Ninbot Technical Service, and they informed me that the seller named "The Thrifty Posey" is not an authorized dealer. It is not surprising, given the name itself. I am furious because Amazon hides the seller's name and information. When I clicked on the product I purchased, it was listed as sold from the Segway store. This was a total lie.If the scooter is not defective, I actually really enjoyed it. I really like the sleek design and the way that it’s being displayed when you’re not using it’s very compact and beautifully designed. The battery doesn’t last for too long but it’s still reasonable for casual using. I’ve used it for a year and I like it a lot so I purchased another one for my friend as a birthday present. Who would have known that it’s been such an disappointing purchase experience. I have tried to purchase her the same scooter three times in the past year. The first package was stolen and the second and third package appeared to have the same technical issue.

Convenient, stylish scooter for short commutes
**Let's get the potential negatives out of the way first:**The range is more like 4.5 miles in practice. If your total commute is longer than that, you'll probably want a second charger you can keep at work. For me, it's jussst long enough to make it.I'm concerned about how easy it will be to coordinate activating both the manual rear-wheel foot brake and front wheel brake lever in an emergency situation. I wish they had just made them activate at the same time with the front lever. Maybe with some more practice it'll be fine. This was with regenerative braking set to Weak; they say that setting it to a higher level makes emergency braking easier. The regenerative braking, even on Weak, is a bit grabby, which can make keeping a steady speed jumpy, especially over rough surfaces, though the cruise control feature may help there; I haven't tried it yet. It also prevents you from using the scooter manually when the battery dies.Solid tires and no suspension means you feel every bump. Riding on brick not recommended if you can avoid it.***********************Okay all that said, it's been a solid product and I'm happy with it so far. The primary benefit for me is the low weight and folded form, so I can carry it up and down stairs easily and also wheel it on one wheel. This makes it really easy to mix with transit, and this has improved my commute. The features I would consider with an upgrade would be 1) suspension of some sort; 2) ability to activate brakes on both wheels from the handlebars. One minor matter: The front LED appears to be missing the green on mine, so it can only produce red and blue combinations. I'm contacting support about that.
