Solved my problem!
I previously enjoyed Radio 3 via my Sky+ box which was plumbed into my hifi. I've just had to upgrade to Sky Stream (long story, neighbouring trees) which no longer offers radio channels. So I needed a digital radio. This is great - excellent sound quality on DAB, and I'm grateful to Higgy's review which recommends RGTech Monarch Indoor FM/AM/DAB/DAB+ Aerial. The "piece of string" aerial supplied with the radio is indeed useless, in our rural setting, but the RG Tech aerial which arrived in 24 hours provides good reception on FM and outstanding reception on DAB.

Quality appearance
Sleek slim design, easy to set up, sound quality is good but not best. Looks great in size when i placed it on top of the coffee table

Not bad
Not a bad radio, the display is very dim apart from that it's ok purchase from Amazon warehouse it came in a dirty condition look like someone had spilt liquid over the front speakers, had to spend time to get it cleaned.

Broken radio from Amazon Warehouse
I purchased this damaged box radio from Amazon Warehouse. The screen interface is dead and it is dirty on the inside. The remote control showed signs of wear so, obviously, this is a 2nd hand item that had previously been returned.

Very pleased now.
Just an update to my previous review from a couple of days ago.I purchased a replacement aerial for the 'bit of string' as someone noted that is supplied. I got the 'RGTech Monarch Indoor FM/AM/DAB/DAB+ Aerial' and it did make a difference to the reception. I also downloaded the full product manual from the Philips website, 10 pages - 20 sides, and it is so much clearer to follow than the quick start guide provided. The saving of stations to preset is easier and so simple once you get the hang of it. Overall, very pleased with purchase. Just been listening to radio Caroline on internet radio.
