Love these little guys!
Love these little guys. They work so much better than the round tent stakes that come with the cheap tents i buy. There shape hold much more secure in softer dirt and sand. Rugged enough for the harder dry dirt as well. They will bend if you go crazy but most tent stakes will.

I love them
I like the quality of these stakes. Ive been using them for several years and ordered three sets. Ive only lost 2-3 over that time frame and Im not too easy on these things. I like the rope around the ends as well because it helps in pulling them from the ground.

Impressed, but shorter than advertised
Okay. These are the first high quality tent stakes I’ve ever purchased, and I am impressed. Feather light, strong, and they seem like they will hold strong (I haven’t used them yet). However, the ones I received were a tad over 7 inches long - 7-1/16” inches, to be exact. For this, they will not receive full stars from me, as they were advertised to be 7.25” long. Discrepancy or deceptive marketing? Others have stated here that they also were shorter than advertised. Other than that, I’m impressed and think they will work great.Update: I used these on a a 12’x12’x7’ canopy awning (with walls) in 40 mph winds! The ground was compressed clay loam (yard). They held strong! I have no idea how, but they did, lol. I did have to restate when the ground shrank during summertime and the stakes became loose, but all in all they worked fantastic! It wasn’t until a strong winter storm rolled in with 50mph+ gusts that we finally lost the awning. The ground was saturated at that point, so it was difficult to keep the stakes anchored. I’m convinced that if we had removed the walls we would never had lost the awning.Wise Owl should make these longer, lmao.

Better than MSR Groundhogs
Let me first say that you need to understand what tent stakes are best for the right kind of ground. These, or any similar stakes, will not do fantastic in super hard, rocky ground, nor will they stay in super softmuddy ground/sand. These are your middle-range type of stakes, similar to the classic MSR groundhogs. With that said, however, I prefer these to the MSR groundhogs for three main reasons:1) They're more sturdy at the "neck" than the groundhogs. I have gone through AT LEAST 8 or so groundhog stakes that bent way too easily at the top point where the guy line is supposed to catch, rendering them useless. These stakes are noticeably thicker in that area, and I've yet to bend one of these at that neck point (or anywhere) either by stepping on them, or banging on them with a rock.2) They're smooth on all edges. The MSR groundhogs are quite sharp. Maybe that's supposed to be a good thing for getting them into the ground or something, but it seems unnecessary. And it has 2 cons. First, I've cut a guyline on them. And second, it increases your chances of cutting or poking a hole into some other piece of fabric in your pack. With the Wise Owls, even the tips are rounded off, so very little chance of tearing anything else up unless you're REALLY trying to, and even then it would probably be a bit of a challenge.3) They're much, much cheaper. These are $20 for 16, the groundhogs are $20 for 6. So for a product you're going to eventually bend/break/replace, you might as well save a few bucks and not get super annoyed when something does happen to them. If with the extra money you never had to replace them, I would say go for the Groundhogs. But I really thing this is just a better product for a much better price. Also, for the gram counters out there, I haven't weighed them, but these are both listed at 13g (0.46oz) per stake.

The "wisest" of all the peg choices!
Lightweight, strong (enough), easy to locate, omni-directional notches, and inexpensive.
