I suggest you ask the manufacturer.

No it is quite thin actually more of a liquid than a gel which was a bit disappointing but it can be put into smaller bottles as a refill.

How do i open the pump? It seems completely stuck, i've tried turning it in the direction it states, i don't want to break it. Why won't it pop up?!

I found this very tricky too. You have to turn the top nozzle in the direction of the arrow. It was very stiff. For me, this is the worst feature of the sanitizer. That and it’s really funny.
