This item was wonderful while it lasted. I bought it in Feb 2022 and today it died. While making coffee, which i do every morning, the on and off button exploded. Fortunately, I was not near it at the time, or I could have had a serious accident. As it was my husband and I looked all over the kitchen for the parts

Previously I had the model 18202 for over four years the only thing I found problematic with it was number one the switch on the side after a four year. Finally broke I tore it apart once and fixed it and it broke again but at the cost of $25 to buy a replacement on Amazon I figured it's not worth the time to fix it so I looked on Amazon saw this newer model it looked like it had a better switch and I purchased it however it did have a good switch but after testing it it seemed like it was a coffee maker I went to the website for IMUSA come to find out there's no bar listed for the coffee maker pressure I don't know how they can call this and express a machine or cappuccino machine when you pour water in the top of the machine and it ends up pouring out the bottom when you fill it all the way to the top there's no pressurisation and espresso machine pressurises the water going through the coffee to make it extremely rich and flavorful coffee makers just drip hot water through the coffee so be aware if you're looking for a coffee maker this will do just fine although we agree with other people that the coffee coming through this was not extremely hot I could see the difference between our model eighteen two O two in this model the cup where the coffee set this model had a much longer coffee cup area which would obviously dissipate heat in the coffee before it goes into the coffee cup or coffee mug below the things I did like about this one the led was much brighter unfortunately they had it on the side so even though it was brighter you couldn't end up seeing that you left the machine on our model 2O2 has the led in the front but unless you're standing right in the front of it it is very dim and therefore also somewhat difficult to see but at least it's in the front I have purchased the newer model which is a 18215 This one looks as though the switch is better and more stout it does have the led in the front but it doesn't look like it's very big the downside is it looks like it has a cover on the top that you have to slide off before you can unscrew and put water into it although it doesn't allow for water to be spilled on the top and heat it up to leave water droplets on the top of your coffee maker it does have a smaller cup so if you're into really hot coffee it looks like it will retain the heat on the espresso machine and it does have five bar like the model 18 202 unlike this model which lists no bar and obviously doesn't have any pressurisation on the water coming through it it just heats it up and pours it over the coffee grounds hopefully this review will make your decision more easy and you don't have to buy it and then return it like I'm having to do

This unit Has an extra setting ; it be put into a Hold setting but still keeps it ready to resume delivery. The coffee basket loads from the right,which is different my others loaded from the left a mere adjustment. It's a great unit for the Price!

The water reservoir is like a dark hole. It's attached integrally to the machine itself with a small opening and kinda metal channels are what you see when you look into the aluminum looking metal chamber. I don't like not being able to clean nor see down into the water chamber. Otherwise, my housemate said, "oh I had the exact same one.' She informed me that hers lasted only 6 months. So there you have it. Even if I had kept it and tried it out it may have been a short-lived home espresso machine.
