Several of these types of catches were broken in a home we recently bought. I removed one and measured to be sure these were the same size. When installing the new ones didn’t seem to fit, I was working from a step stool and couldn’t see the top of the door. I discovered that the sleeve from the old one was still in the door. I removed the black sleeve from the new one and then it fit, however a bit looser than the old one. To do the job right I should have got out a taller ladder and removed the old sleeve if it was possible. The new one works fine with enough tension and no need to adjust. The existing strike plates were identical so there was no need to change those out. Very pleased and happy that there was no wild goose chase to the big box store required.

Exactly what I needed to replace broken one. Was adjustable. When removing old i had to take out the metal shell wrap that was left behind on old one that came off. Removed and new one worked great. Had to adjust height with adjustment screw built in.

The diameter of the unit was identical to the existing broken unit I removed from the top of the door. The new ball spring init is slightly shorter than the existing unit that I removedBottom line this works fine and I was able to remove the old broken unit without too much difficulty

BUY THEM!The build quality is high quality and sturdy. My doors look like new again and they fit the old broken parts. I easily replaced the ball latch housing by popping out the old ones and hammering in the new housing. Hammer lightly. Would buy these again! Installation was so easy! Door closes well too! Great replacement for broken door stopper and easy installation.

These were so easy to install, I was shocked. I have put off replacing these for our closet doors because either wasn't sure if it would be a pain. I am not handy and this was no big deal! Great product, value, and fit. They look great and work just like the original ones that came with our house when it was new.

These fit my door perfectly. Easy to install and doors now close and open with ease. Also seems to be built well. Just hope they hold up. The look was not a really issue as they are hidden but plates look nice.
