Best grease gun I ever owned
What can I say? Grease gun is solid heavy duty and works really well. Just make sure you watch the instruction videos on how to load the grease to attach the hose. You can’t beat the warranty on this gun and it works like a charm. Don’t believe the hype about these other grease guns, this is the best grease gun you could buy on Amazon.

A bit pricey but worth it
Lifetime purchase of quality tool. No leaking, smooth, premium materials. I keep it with my trailer and squirt the bearings as needed. Also essential around farm equipment, keeping the Kubota functioning well.

A high quality grease gun
It seems strange writing that I really like this grease gun. I actually purchased two different guns the same day. This one and a similar priced one. The shipping on this one took longer so I ordered a different one too. This is definitely a high quality tool. It looks and feels different from my others that I own in a good way. Loading grease is easy and it purges air with just a couple squeezes of the handle. I did purchase a different grease gun locking coupler that makes attaching and removing it very easy. The only complaint that I have is that the pull handle doesn't like to stay up in the body of the gun. No leaking grease anywhere, even on the handle. I can apply a lot of pressure in those stuck zerks.

No Instructions for Attaching the Hose
This grease gun is well made and works very well. My issue is that there are no instructions for attaching the hose to the gun. This wouldn’t be an issue except that the small threaded “dust cap” that is on the grease gun where the hose attaches is the same color as the grease outlet on the gun barrel. Had to watch a video to see how to remove the cap. Wouldn’t you think they would make the removable cap a different color and maybe put a little “pull knob” on is so you could get it out?

Best Grease Gun I have ever owned.
Take a little time to learn how this gun operates. If you go to YouTube and type in Macnaught how to load your grease cartridge it will help you a lot. The gun itself is of very high quality, and as far as I can tell you really don't need any other tip adapters, it fit perfectly on all of my grease fittings for my car and trailer.

Do not use with Red-n-Tacky Grease
I purchased this grease gun in the belief iIt would seal the tube and not leak. I have to double bag this gun when I store it to contain all of the oil that drips out of it. This may be largly a red and tacky issue, but McNaughton claimed this gun would not leak and was compatible with all tubes. It's not! Maybe other greases are better but the machines I'm servicing call for red and tacky. I don't think there's a darn thing wrong with the grease gun otherwise. I purchased the one with the short hand lever so that I could have a hand free to get the coupler centered on the grease fittings. I'm checking with my equipment manufacturer to see if I can change grease. But if you favor red and tacky, you will have an oily mess on your hands. Also, the coupler has to be screwed on and off the grease fitting. At least mine does. A real pain making this a nightmare to use. Get the model with the rlittle finger tabs to open the end of the coupler.

Professional grease gun
I've done without a grease gun for quite awhile but I needed one to grease the pivot on my 5th wheel hitch and the spring shackles on my trailer. After looking at the offerings at the chain auto parts and big box stores, I was not impressed. I found recommendations for this McNaught on some tool forums. I might have paid $15-20 more than the cheap guns, but I knew I'd save myself the aggravation of poor fittings and grease leaks on the tube. The McNaught is well made with well cut threads and quality seals. The pistol grip allows you to have one hand on the hose and the other one free to pump the grease. The female fitting grabs the zerk tightly and doesn't spluge grease everywhere but where you want it to go.All in all, "Fair dinkum" as the Aussies say.

Defective nipple twister-does not come off
This product seems of high quality but not well thought out. You would think this is something they could get right. First directions need a terms and parts list. Second the directions are confusing and not detailed enough. Had to figure out how to even get the tube into the follower which is basically a tube holder. A 'follower' what the hell is that term. Anyway that is an industry issue. Had to watch videos and this company has no instruction video which they need. Once the nipple gripper or is it called a coopler is attached to the nipple for the grease intake it doesn't let go. They put a note in back of directions that say tilt and wiggle and twist and it doesn't come off no matter how much you pull and twist. Used a skew driver, pliers and lots of twisting and turning and pulling and it would not come off. Did one tire and had to stop. Outside return window so very disappointed in this product. It may have even damaged my tire wheel. Find a grease gun with a proper lock for pull and a proper lock release on the nipple coupler. I think that is what it is called. And add a list of terms for god sake, stop assuming people know the parts of a grease gun. This unit should be intuitive and it is not at all. Even a friend who is an expert at greasing got on the FaceTime call and couldn't believe it wouldn't release from the nipple. It locks on and has no release. Its seems like the most important part yet they put no thought into realizing you have to eventually remove it after adding the grease. Then you twist and pull and the grease oozes out and eventually had to remove my inner nipple to get it off. Now I have a nipple stuck in the cooler and can't even remove it with a vice. It is absolutely ridiculous to sell something so difficult to remove from the nipple. Get a clue. It is 2021. Isn't there a better way to quick release it from the bearing nipple.
