Back to Nespresso
I started my coffee brewing experience many years ago with my first Tassimo machine before trying a Dolce Gusto (terrible) and my first Nespresso machine. I then thought I should follow the trend and push on to a bean to cup machine (I’ve had 2 so far - a Delonghi and Phillips) but quickly realised that unless I train as a Barista or like 10 different types of coffee I am wasting my time and money. I also have quite a compact kitchen and when it comes to the choice between my Ninja Airfryer and a huge coffee machine there is only ever going to be one winner! So here I am back to buying a Nespresso machine and I opted for this one after looking at the reviews and also being swayed by the deal price on Amazon. Within minutes of making my first brew I knew I’d made the right choice - the coffee was easily as nice, if not smoother, than my last few years in the bean to cup world. No emptying of beans, cleaning wands etc so I was really happy. As for the machine - quite compact, a little noisy (all machines are BTW) but really easy to use, maintain, fill with water etc and looks really neat on the worktop. The sample pods provided are all really lovely - I like a mug so, if using the smaller pods, just make my own version of a flat white.Other reviews seem to be complaining about the heat of the water so lets address that one - all machines, including bean to cup, will never make your brew as hot as a kettle, this is just a fact. If, like me, you do like your coffee hot, consider buying a milk frother/warmer and use that alongside your Nespresso machine. This makes my brews the perfect temperature when I use the milk heating function. Finally, make sure you sign in and register your machine on the Nespresso website - you can connect this machine to the app and review all the pods that are available to find your perfect brew.Hope you found this review helpful.

Not really convinced by the Vertu system. Pods are expensive.
I bought this machine to replace a Dulce Gusto model, as at the time, recycling of the pods was a bit of a faff. This machine is very big and the water tank is at the back of the long unit, make sure you have a deep countertop. I just gave up on the much trumpeted Bluetooth connectivity, like a lot of users I have found it just don’t work. On my old Gusto model I could control the strength of my coffee by adjusting the water flow. You can’t increase this on the new machine, only stop it.The pods, though there are many just seem to taste the same, and some just taste watery, a bit like posh instant coffee. The price of the pods are a lot more than I would like to pay, and you can only really get them online ( as the shops are closed during lockdown. These machines are sold on the disposable razor system, the machine is very cheap for what it does, but Nescafé Vertu pods are expensive, and still being under patent, you can’t buy cheaper brands. All in all, I am not very impressed, but the 100 free pods offer is a very persuasive carrot..

Bad quality!!!
I’ve been a loyal Nespresso user for years, and my previous machine was perfect reliable, well-built, and made excellent coffee. However, this new model has been a major disappointment. It feels overly electronic, and instead of improving the experience, the design changes have made it less user-friendly.The biggest issue is that it leaks water from the back, which should never happen with a premium coffee machine. It also doesn’t feel as sturdy as my old one, and the overall quality seems to have declined. I expected much better from Nespresso, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend this model. If you’re looking for a high-quality machine, I’d suggest considering older models or other brands.

Didn’t work, then I gave it a proper cleaning flush out, and it started to work!
Update on my previous review.. I talked to a friend and they advised cleaning the machine with a special cleaner, and it has started working again, and fingers crossed that it continues to work well, as it’s a great machine.

Delicious Coffee
At first I was a little taken aback by the size of the coffee maker (looks good though) and I realised it didn't take the shop espresso pods. I wasn't sure I would keep it. I did and I love it! I really like that there are lots of different pod sizes and flavours/types of coffee.Mine came with a large pack of mixed coffees to try. I also sent for extra free-ones too. These range from single espresso to a full carafe pod. I like to have a large coffee once a day, so this suits me well. In my old coffee maker I would have to use at least two pods to get a good mug full sometimes. The coffee tastes so good! I'm no expert but I don't actually need to go out for coffee anymore because this is just as good! I have tried different recipes using a milk frother but you can use it just with normal milk as it does turn it a little frothy anyway. It's good if you are vegan as you can use any milk you want. Barista caramel is my favourite.

Unreliable
Why did you choose this product over others?:Coffee is amazing, such choice we have a store so can go there to buy or online is fine. The reliability of the machine is shocking had my machine 8 months and 3 different machines have had mechanical failures. While it is under warranty it’s constantly breaking down and then I’m without a machine for a week while I wait for them to find me a replacement.Coffee quality:Stunning coffee, different sizes! Value for money:The machine was reasonably priced, coffee slightly more expensive but worth it and nothing in comparison to a coffee shop.
