I bought this kettle because I was fed up with buying expensive big brand ones that start leaking at the bottom after a couple of years. This one may well do the same but is a lot cheaper. I am so much more pleased with it than I expected. It boils as fast as my last one and I love it’s blue lights! It gets hot at the bottom but has a clear warning on the glass. Basically it looks good, does the job and it won’t be the end of the world if something goes wrong. One word of warning though, if you have arthritis or anything it’s heavy when full so I only ever half fill it.

This is a snooze to use, especially if you have about 2 cups to boil. The sensor and switch are at the top, and the handle can get a little uncomfortable from the heat near its top (although it's claimed to have a "cool handle"). The tea infuser is a great boon but I was so fed up waiting for this kettle to boil that I put it back in its box and in the loft went out and bought a higher-powered one that boils a full kettle in 90 seconds but 3 cups quantity boils in 27 seconds. A great kettle if you're not in a hurry. I just don't like that handle.

At last found a kettle which ticks all the boxes (have tried many different makes before and they all had something wrong). The base is stable and doesn't slip around. The kettle locates on the base connector easily. The lid mechanism is smooth and light and the power switch is in the right place. The boil is quiet and quick. The spout is a decent size and doesn't cover your hand in steam when pouring (some brands do). It's an attractive unit at a fair price. So all good.

I wanted a clear kettle to replace my old one, and was excited to see the featured addition of the tea making insert, so it ticked all my boxes.When I first tried it out, it was perfect the first time I used it, then after that, it was incredibly noisy while it was heating the water, and sounded like something wasn't right, so I contacted the company and arranged to send it back. This I did, but then kept getting messages that I was going to be charged again as I hadn't sent it back, so it took a bit of debating to resolve the situation.The replacement arrived, and since then, it has strangely sometimes boiled normally and sometimes really loudly, but it seems to be working OK so I couldn't be bothered with the hassle to return it again.The other point worth mentioning is that as we live in a hard water area it very quickly gets covered in limescale/calc which affects how it boils, and we have to treat it every week or two, which I have never had to do as frequently with other kettles.It's actually a great sized kettle with a good capacity, but the lid doesn't open very far for filling, and the handle gets very hot when you are pouring the boiled water out if the kettle is full. So all in all, a bit of a disappointment.

Not bad for the money. Looks good but things to note…1. Hard to clean with conventional kettle limescale cleaners I gave up trying after a few weeks and wanted a different kettle2. One day it just stopped working (literally 7 days after the year warranty ended)Decent kettle but would recommend paying the extra money for a better one.

a good kettle . only down side is when poring out excess water the lime scale collects in the rim making it harder to clean
