great right out of box
This was a huge upgrade from the previous detector I had. It works excellent. It is nice and light weight also easy to use. I was debating on going with the simplex but glad i spent a little more on this unit. I am also glad to have the pin pointer included as the price of a decent pin pointer would have made the cost of getting a good set up just that much more. I recommend this unit for beginners and novices. I believe this unit is built to last.

Excellent machine
I've been using different metal detectors for over 40 years and the Minelab Equinox 600 is one of the best machines I've ever used. It's easy to set up it's extremely lightweight and I don't think you can find a better value for the money.

Finds it all
Fell in love the instant I got passed the noise canceling. Found great things in my yard that was searched many times before the minelab. It really is a great machine

Good detector for the price pin pointer subpar
What a given at five stars but the pinpointer died five months after getting it. Still under warranty send it back they sent me a new one.

I am a new detector. There is a bit of a learning curve. once i have it mastered i'm sure it will be great.

Detector is good but pointer is faulty
Liked the machine very much. Still do in fact.We’ve had issues with the pointer not working and getting anyone to replace it has been impossible. Seller wants you to go through the manufacture but manufacturer sends you back to seller. Amazon wasn’t any help either. For the avid detector you know the importance of the pointer- the pointer malfunctioned within 45days of purchasing.I would still recommend this brand tho. Maybe buy direct and save yourself the hassle.
